So let's do a short guided senses cycling practice.
So senses cycling is a practice where you just cycle through your different senses one by one.
Noticing the world around you.
Just with one little sensory experience at a time.
So we'll begin by finding a comfortable position.
Creating a long spine.
Softening the shoulders.
And just taking a few big,
Deep,
Easy breaths.
Allowing the body to become still.
And then begin at first just by noticing.
The experiences your senses are having.
Maybe you can hear something that's outside.
At the neighbors.
Maybe you can feel a breeze across your skin or the temperature of the room.
Maybe where you're at.
You can.
Smell something in particular.
You see something unique.
Just tapping into your senses right now.
And then you begin to breathe.
We're now going to begin cycling through our senses one by one.
And as we do,
Just noticing one thing.
So begin by noticing one thing that you hear.
One thing that you feel.
And now notice what you smell.
Taste.
You can either look inward or open the eyes and notice something that you see.
And you do that again,
What do I hear?
What do I feel?
Do I smile?
Tase.
FEEL.
And you just cycle through the senses.
It's OK if your senses experience the same thing more than once.
They often do.
And just cycle through one by one.
Taking in this moment through your senses.
Just witnessing the world all around you,
Piece by piece.
And taking a big,
Deep breath in through the nose.
Open mouth,
Exhale,
Let it go.
Blinking the eyes open.
Thank you so much for trying the practice of senses cycling with me.
