Finding any position that feels good to you right now.
Maybe you want to prop up with some pillows or lay on your left side.
Even recline in a chair.
The only thing you need to worry about right now is having your body supported and feeling like you can breathe without anything getting in the way.
Except of course,
That baby getting in the way.
And then bring yourself into your body.
Into this very moment.
Feel your skin.
Your muscles,
Your bones.
And notice the gentle beat of your heart.
And the life that's growing within you.
Maybe you can feel them moving around a little bit.
Or perhaps they're resting now.
And just notice any sensations you're experiencing here.
Without judgment.
But just being aware of how your body is feeling right now.
Now bring your awareness to your breath.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your belly.
As you breathe in.
And as you breathe out.
With every inhale.
Feel that breath coming into your body.
Nourishing you and your baby.
And on every exhale,
Releasing tension and softening.
Just simple,
Deep,
Effortless breaths moving in and out of your body.
Now we're going to begin a slow journey of awareness through your body.
So as I name each area,
Just simply bring your attention there.
Notice any sensations without trying to change or fix anything.
Just soften the muscles,
Send the breath there.
And just let that area receive whatever rest and nourishment it needs.
This is your time just to connect with your body.
And let it rest.
Bring your awareness to your feet.
Feel your feet.
Feel your feet that have been carrying you.
And working so hard.
And notice any sensation here.
It could be tingling,
Coolness,
Warm.
Maybe they're aching a little bit.
And soften the muscles of the feet.
And let them completely relax.
Sending rest and healing into your feet.
Now the lower legs.
The calves,
The shins.
Just breathe into these areas,
Letting the muscles soften.
Releasing any clenching or tightness.
And now the knees.
Letting the little muscles around the knees relax.
The thighs,
Front and back.
Letting the muscles release and rest.
And now the hips,
Pelvis,
And glutes.
There's so much happening right now.
Your body is making room and shifting,
Preparing.
Honor this sacred space as you breathe and let it all soften and melt.
And now the low back.
Breathing into this space.
Sending it some ease as you allow it to soften.
And the abdomen and the belly.
Home to your baby.
And just let your belly be completely soft.
Sending love and breath to you and your baby.
And now the mid and upper back.
Feel the back body soften and release against whatever is supporting you.
Allowing all those little muscles that run up and down the spine to release and relax.
And the ribcage and chest.
Your lungs are working harder now.
Your heart is pumping for two.
Allow your chest to open and soften with every inhale.
Feeling it expand and release.
And moving up to your shoulders and shoulder blades,
Letting them melt down and away from the ears.
Releasing everything that you've been carrying here,
The worry,
The preparation,
The plans,
Just let it go.
And now the arms,
From the upper arms down to the elbows and forearms.
And then be heavy and relaxed.
The hands.
The hands that will soon hold your baby.
Soften the palms,
Uncurl the fingers.
And let them be completely still and at rest.
Now your neck and throat.
Releasing any holding or clenching here.
Maybe taking a deep breath in through the nose and sighing out through the mouth to really open the throat.
And now the head and the scalp,
The face.
Softening the forehead.
The space behind the eyes,
The brows.
Releasing the jaw.
Letting it all be soft and still and at rest.
And now feel your whole body at once.
You're incredible,
Powerful.
Life creating body.
Feel it completely release and melt as you breathe.
Sending nourishment and rest and relaxation to every single part of you and your baby.
Allow this peace to spread deep down into every cell,
Every fiber.
And all you have to do is just sit back,
Relax,
And breathe.
Now begin to bring your awareness back to your body.
Your whole body.
Taking a moment to thank your body.
For all that it's doing.
And taking a big,
Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Wiggling fingers and toes and beginning to reawaken.
And opening your eyes and closing your meditation.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
