Hello and welcome to this little story.

We will wander through an old fishing village until we reach a really nice and petesque harbour.

From there we will go further and further into the untouched nature,

Our dunes and small sandy paths until you reach the really beautiful sea,

Where you can simply let your soul dangle.

As night falls you will arrive at the beach but here,

In a safe shelter,

The sounds of the stormy North Sea will accompany you to sleep.

I invite you to dive into the rest that lays in this little recording.

First of all find a position where you can fully relax,

Make yourself comfortable and then take three deep breaths in and out.

Deep in and out.

Deep in and out.

When you feel ready you can close your eyes at any time.

Imagine you are in a small fishing village on the North Sea.

An eventful day lies behind you.

Now you can let it end in peace and quiet.

You stroll along a small alley.

To the left and right you are surrounded by the typical reddish-brown brick houses.

Every single of them looks lovingly cared for.

With their wide window frames and colourfully painted front doors they look almost like something out of a picture book.

The old guild signs still hang on many of the houses.

They exude a lovely charm.

At the entrance doors there are occasional barrels or boxes planted with colourful flowers.

It is already late afternoon.

There is still a lot of activity around you.

Many of the tourists are taking advantage of the last hours of sunshine.

Some stroll through the small alleys,

Past the colourful souvenir stores.

Others enjoy a last coffee and one of the cosy pubs.

The path leads you to a square.

Children playfully romp around on an old fountain.

People sit on the benches at the edge of the square,

Enjoying the last warming rays of the sun or engrossed in conversation.

You sit down on one of the benches and watch the hustle and bustle on the square for a while.

The light heartedness of the playing children reminds you of a carefree time.

For a moment you just sit there.

Gradually it becomes quieter and fewer and fewer people bustle about in the alleys and around the square.

The souvenir stores gradually close their doors.

In the pubs the last guests are bid farewell and tables and chairs are cleared away.

You leave the small square and stroll along the alley towards the sea.

It ends at the small harbour of the village.

You see several boats of different sizes anchored there.

Most of them have fishing nets on board and their tall masts sway gently back and forth with the small waves.

You can see some excursion boats that have already stopped their work for today and are gently rocking waiting to show tourists the beauty of the coast the next day.

The smell of the sea is in the air.

A small fishing boat docks.

You watch as the men disembark joking and laughing as they go about their work.

You watch them moor the boat,

Stretch the fishing net and get the boat ready for the next mission.

They see content in what they are doing.

You turn away and follow the small boardwalk that leads from the harbour along the coast.

Only a few people are still on the road.

You leave the noise and the smells of the harbour behind you.

These sounds are replaced by the sound of the waves rolling leisurely onto the beach.

The further away you get from the harbour the more clearly you hear the sound of the waves.

You follow the promenade for a short distance.

High dunes block your view of the sea.

But already the sound of the waves become clearer and clearer and you feel the salty air on your skin.

You take off your shoes and turn to a path that leads between two dunes towards the beach.

As your feet step into the soft sand you feel the warmth of the sun in it.

With each step you sink slightly and have to find your balance again.

The sand lightly massages the soles of your feet.

The path finally opens up to the ocean and gives a view of a breathtaking,

Wide,

Sandy beach.

The sun is already low on the horizon.

Its light baths the sky in red and orange hues.

You stroll along the beach and let the water wash over your feet.

You enjoy the refreshing feeling on your skin.

As you look back you recognise your own footprints which you leave in the wet sand with every step.

You watch as they are slowly washed away by the approaching waves.

With each wave they fade more and more until they finally disappear completely.

It is a coming and going.

Just as your thoughts flow so do the waves.

You remember past hours on the beach,

Wonderful times you have already spent there.

Just let it glide without judging.

While your thoughts drift gently you stroll further and further along the beach.

A small crab crosses your path and disappears into the water.

The air is still warm but a light breeze brushes through your hair and brings a pleasant cooling.

You hold your face up to the wind and feel it gently brush your face like a soft silk scarf.

Your loose clothing blows around your body and awakens the feeling of lightness.

Consciously you breathe in the fresh sea air a few times.

Your lungs fill with the clear salty air.

With each exhalation all the tension in your chest and shoulders is released more and more.

As you look out over the deep blue ocean a feeling of vastness comes to you.

By now the beach is deserted.

The steady rise and fall of the waves can be heard.

Hear and dare the sounds of seagulls.

In front of you on a rocky hill you can make out an old lighthouse.

With its red and white paint it can be seen from far away.

For many years it has served people as a point of orientation.

Firm and indestructible it stands there and sends its light night after night into the impenetrable darkness of the ocean.

It has already accompanied many people safely home.

The sun has now almost disappeared behind the horizon.

A glance at the sky reveals that dark clouds are gathering.

The increasingly strong wind drives them relentlessly across the sea.

You feel a slight chill.

You turn away from the sea and take a path that leads you back between the dunes.

The wind brushes through the tall grass and grows here.

Like feathers it makes a dance first in one direction then in the other.

The path takes you further and further up the cliffs.

Here in the middle of nature is your safe beach house.

Nestled in a small hollow this place offers a wonderful view on the vast ocean.

The little house radiates coziness.

With its white washed walls and attached roof it fits perfectly into the landscape.

Surrounded by a white fence and countless shrubs and flower beds it seems as if it were a world just for you.

From the garden a stone step leads down the cliffs to the sea.

There in the narrow bay a small boat is moored.

You take the path that leads down to the house.

As you open the garden gate you are met by the sweet fragrance of roses standing lushly in the garden.

Their soft white and yellowish colors are easy to spot in the gathering twilight.

Their blossoms have already begun to close for the coming night's rest.

On your way to the front door your cat greets you.

Gently she strokes your legs.

You pick her up and enter your home with her.

Old furniture painted in light shades of white and grey make the beach house look bright and friendly.

Countless pictures on the walls tell of wonderful experiences.

Tired from the long day you decide to draw yourself a warm bath.

The steam of the hot water and the scent of bath oils soon fill the room.

You take off your clothes and slowly let yourself slide into the pleasant warm water.

You are allowed to enjoy this moment to the fullest,

Washing the salt and sand from your skin.

When you finally step out of the tub you feel clean but also tired from the warm water.

Now you slip into comfortable clothes.

With a hot cup of tea in hand you head to your living room and light a fire in the fireplace.

The wind has picked up.

It roars loudly across the landscape and rattles the roof.

In the distance you can see it rolling up fountains of sand on the beach.

The distinct sound of waves can be heard,

Whipped up by the wind and breaking on the cliffs below.

Black clouds cover the sky,

Blocking your view on the stars.

In the distance you hear deep thunder,

Warmly wrapped in thick blankets.

You sit down in your rocking chair and breathe in the scent of your herbal tea.

Do you feel the pleasant warmth of your body?

The first raindrops join the storm.

Again and again they are driven by the wind,

In gusts over the landscape.

You can enjoy sitting here,

Safe and sound,

While the storm gets stronger and stronger.

You can lean back and are completely asleep with yourself.

The steady rocking of your chair and the steady crackling of the fire in the fireplace make you sleepy.

For a while you listen to the sounds of the storm and the ocean.

Tired,

Your eyes fall closed and acknowledge that tomorrow will be the start of another bright,

Beautiful day for you.

Have a good night.
