In this lying down guided meditation, you are invited to rest back and settle. Using our breath, we'll focus our awareness on different parts of the body and relax. Then, we open to the energies and sensations of bodily life, helping you to step out of your mind and into your body. It will leav you feeling grounded, connected, and relaxed. The practice ends with guidance back into the flow of your day, making this meditation a great option if you need to reset and settle after trying day or situation.

Settling in,

Making yourself comfortable,

Resting back and feeling that you can breathe in,

Let the belly fill and with the exhale you can let go of anything that you were doing,

Any rush or stress or busyness that you were tending to before you arrived here to rest on the ground.

Breathing in the belly rises and breathing out feeling that the body,

The mind,

The heart can come to settle.

Maybe the sense that with the energies of the day we're all stirred up like a glass of orange juice with bits in it and as we set the glass down we set ourselves down and come into the stillness of the mind and the body that these flying around bits,

This scattered energy can settle and we can come to rest in our body,

Come home in our body and these exhales is strong sounded out breaths can really help with that sense of settling into this spot on the earth wherever we are.

Breathing in as if the lungs are in the belly,

The belly rising and breathing out the belly softening,

The belly relaxing,

Belly rising and belly softening,

Belly relaxing,

Belly full and sighing it out,

Belly full and sighing it out.

Can we let our awareness come to rest and settle in the body?

Stepping out of the mind and stepping into the body and feeling perhaps how the this energy inside the body can settle and relax with every exhale.

Maybe feeling for the sensations in the body and feeling with the exhale that the sensations can soften and relax and let's breathe in bring our breath and our sense of awareness to the feet and breathe out let the feet relax.

Breathing in bringing our awareness to the energy or the sensations inside the feet and then with the exhale feeling the settling as we give the weight of the feet to gravity.

Breathing in bringing our breath bringing our awareness into the legs and breathing out let the legs relax and breathing in bringing our awareness to the sensations or the energy inside the legs and with the exhale feeling the legs soften and relax.

This energy of the legs resting into the ground.

Breathing into the bowl of the pelvis and breathing out feel the pelvis sink the weight of the pelvis resting into the ground and breathing in feeling into the energies or the sensations inside of the pelvis and breathing out feel this energy settle relax come to rest.

Breathing into the lower back maybe swelling the lower back into the ground and breathing out the lower back relaxing and softening breathing in bringing our awareness to the energy at the lower back or the sensations at the lower back and with the exhale feeling that the lower back can settle can soften into the ground breathing into the belly and breathing out feel the belly soften and relax breathing in drawing your awareness to the belly feeling the sensations the energy of the belly and with the exhale feeling the energy settle relax breathing into the upper back maybe swelling the upper back into the ground and exhale let the weight of the upper back the bones of the upper back settle into the ground breathing in feeling into the energy the sensations and the upper back and with the exhale feeling this settling the energy comes to rest and the lower back breathing into the chest feelingPL Breathing into the chest,

Feeling into the energy of the chest.

Breathing out,

Let the energy settle.

Breathing in again into the chest,

Feeling into the sensations of the chest.

Feeling that the sensations can rest.

Rest in your awareness.

As if we could breathe into the heart.

And breathe out,

Let the heart relax.

Breathing into the centre of the chest.

And breathing out,

Settling.

Breathing into the shoulders.

And breathing out,

Let the shoulders relax.

Breathing into the shoulders,

Feeling into the energy,

The sensations,

The aliveness in the shoulders.

And feeling with the exhale that softening,

Resting back possibility.

Breathing into the arms and the hands and the fingers.

And breathing out the arms,

Hands,

Fingers softening,

Letting go.

Breathing in,

Feeling into the energy,

The sensations,

The aliveness in the arms,

Hands and fingers.

And with the exhale,

Let go.

Breathing into the neck.

And breathing out the neck,

Relaxing as you give the weight of the head to gravity.

Breathing into the jaw.

Breathe out,

Let the jaw relax.

The inside of the mouth opens and the bottom lip falls away from the top lip.

If the tongue relaxes,

Does that afford more space inside of the mouth?

Breathing into the eyes,

Giving permission to the eyes to rest back,

The eyelids to rest soft yet heavy,

One against the other.

Breathing into the forehead.

Breathing out,

Let the forehead relax.

Breathing into the temples.

And breathe out,

Let the temples relax.

Breathing into the inside of the head.

And breathe out,

Let the inside of the head relax.

Breathing in with your awareness to the inside of the head,

Feeling the energy,

The sensations.

And with the exhale,

Feeling that possibility of relaxing,

Settling,

The energy inside of the head coming to rest.

Breathing into the brain.

And breathe out,

Let the brain relax.

Breathing in,

Feeling into the energy of the mind.

And breathing out,

Feeling that that scattered energy can settle and relax.

Opening the lens now to take in the whole of the body.

Breathing in,

Feeling that you can touch into and feel into the energy of the body,

The sensations inside the body.

And with the exhale,

The sense of the bits in this glass of orange juice that is our body being can settle,

Come to rest.

Breathing in this space.

And breathing out,

Letting go.

Feeling the energy of the body and letting go.

Feeling into your aliveness and settling into ease.

Feeling your aliveness.

And with the exhale,

Settling into ease.

Breathing in,

Feeling the aliveness inside the hands.

Breathing out,

Settling.

Breathing in,

Feeling the aliveness inside of the feet.

Breathing out,

Energy settling.

Breathing in,

Feeling your aliveness inside of the chest.

Breathing out,

Settling.

Breathing in,

Feeling the energy,

The aliveness inside of the torso.

And breathing out,

Letting go.

Letting go.

The mind relaxing.

The jaw relaxing.

The shoulders relaxing.

And the sense that the body could fall open.

With every exhale,

Letting go.

Letting go.

And letting go.

Feeling for a few moments where you might have any tensions in the body,

Heart,

Mind.

That you might want to feel into on the in-breath and let go of on the out-breath.

And then let's bring the awareness back to the belly.

Breathing in,

The belly full.

And breathing outside out.

And breathing in,

The belly full.

And breathing outside out.

Let the in-breath be energising.

And exhale,

Settle.

Breathing in,

There's light,

There's space.

And breathing out,

Maybe starting to just shuffle the shoulders from side to side.

Breathing in,

Light,

Space.

And breathing out,

Maybe rolling the head from side to side,

Maybe starting to move the fingers and toes.

Taking some time to slowly reanimate the body.

And find your way back to movement.
