Sometimes we feel like giving up. We have difficulty accepting our decision and we come to a standstill in our life unsure of where to go next. Spend a few moments in this meditation to help you continue on your path, cultivate compassion for yourself, and remind yourself that life always offers the opportunity to learn and grow.

Welcome to Simply Meditation.

At this present moment you may be feeling frustrated,

Defeated,

Disappointed.

You may feel like giving up.

But as you sit here,

Ask yourself,

Why did you make the decision that you made to go down the path you chose to go down?

Remember the reason you decided to move in the direction that you did.

Remember who you were in that moment.

Connect with your past self and bring up compassion and loving-kindness towards that person.

Did you feel backed into a corner?

Did you feel as though that was your only choice?

Did you feel as though it was the best decision for you at the time with the information that you had?

Bring yourself back into the present moment.

Ask yourself,

For the road that you've been down,

What did you see?

What did you learn?

Did you learn to not repeat something again?

Did you learn something about yourself?

Did you learn what brings you joy?

Was there something about that path and that choice that brought happiness to your soul?

Was there something that brought sadness to your heart?

What did you learn?

Now that you are here,

Is there a lesson that you can carry with you into the future?

Is there something about this choice that can empower you as you move forward?

Something that can serve you as you move on to greater horizons?

Sitting here in the present moment,

Do you want to give up or do you want to take a moment to rest and reflect?

You will get up and you will continue to move forward.

Take a moment and look down at your compass and reorient yourself to the direction that you want to move.

When you are ready to continue moving forward,

Know that you are supported.

Know that you are not alone.

Know that if you fall,

The universe will be there to help pick you up again.

Know that you are strong enough to keep moving forward.

Remind yourself of the beauty that is just around the next corner.
