Welcome to the triple goddess meditation.

Take a moment and thank yourself for being here today.

Within each of us,

Inside every woman,

There is not just one goddess but three.

The maiden,

The mother,

And the crone.

Each aspect of the triple goddess lives inside each of us and carries us through our life.

Taking a deep breath,

Let the earth upon which you are seated fully support you.

You are safe and you are secure.

You are free to completely relax,

Knowing that you are supported in your life.

Gently cast your gaze down,

Closing your eyes if you wish.

From the crown of your head,

Let any tension melt down your body and into the ground below.

Remember that you are fully supported.

Take in another deep breath,

Gathering any stress in your neck and shoulders.

Exhale,

Sending it down into the ground below.

Notice how your body feels in this moment,

In this place.

Are you stressed?

Are you holding any tension in your body?

Breathing in deeply,

Release any stress or tension as you exhale.

Notice the sensation of relaxation traveling down your spine,

Down your arms,

To your fingertips,

Completely relaxed and supported.

Feel the warmth of gratitude.

Fill your heart space with each breath of air that you breathe into your lungs.

The warmth in your chest grows down into your diaphragm,

Into your belly,

All the way down to your sacrum,

All the way to your pelvic floor.

Continue breathing.

The tension is melting down and away and the warmth is following in its place.

Bring your attention to your legs and go ahead and relax your thighs,

Your calves,

Your feet.

Warmth and relaxation is flowing all the way to the tips of your toes.

You're filled with love and gratitude for the part of your body that carries you throughout your day.

Now that you're completely relaxed,

Imagine you're walking down the road one morning.

As you walk,

In your mind's eye,

You notice an unmarked gate.

This brings up some curiosity for you and you gently push the gate open to see what's inside.

Surprisingly,

You find a beautiful garden.

It's so beautiful that you have to remind yourself to breathe in and out.

You see a little sign that reads,

Welcome.

Welcome.

As you venture in a little further,

You slip away into the peace and serenity that this sacred place brings to the world.

A young maiden steps onto the path.

You notice that she has a necklace hanging from her neck of a waxing crescent moon.

You can see that she's bright,

Confident,

Beautiful,

And innocent.

As you look into her eyes,

You see yourself reflected back.

She takes your hand and pulls you down through a patch of humble little hill violets in the grass below.

You sit with her for a while,

Simply breathing.

She points out all the different signs of spring around you.

The potential and possibility for new life,

A time for growth,

A time for exploration,

Discovery,

Creativity,

And expression.

You feel hopeful.

After some time,

The young maiden pulls you to your feet and you walk together deeper into the garden.

Inhaling,

You can smell the fresh forest,

The pine,

The flowers.

Your lungs gently surrender to an exhale and again in and out.

Deeper and deeper you go into this garden.

You can see that it's now growing wild and lush and a movement by the upcoming river catches your eye and you see a woman filling a bucket with water.

She turns towards you and your attention is drawn to her belly.

It's round and full like the moon on a warm summer night.

Mother,

She stands powerful in her divine right.

Her eyes are soft with love as you meet them and you can see yourself reflected back.

You spend a moment drinking in her nourishing presence.

You allow yourself to be drawn into a comforting embrace.

Her warm,

Soothing body and spirit eases away any worry,

Doubt,

Or fear.

She smells like sweet lilacs and you are reminded of a simpler time.

The time when a mother's love was all you needed.

She leads you to a patch of mullein,

Green rosettes in their first year of growth.

She whispers in your ear,

This plant will cleanse and protect you and it will give you courage on dark days.

The young maiden still with you bends to harvest a few leaves.

She hands them to you and you can feel the soft fuzz brushing against your fingers.

You are feeling completely supported and loved and you continue down the garden path walking with you,

The maiden and the mother.

As you walk,

You begin to notice that the leaves are changing color from green to yellow to orange to red and to brown.

And soon there are trees without any leaves at all.

Take notice of any feelings that this thought brings up in you.

How do you feel when the trees are naked going into the winter season?

Does this bring up feelings of anxiety or sadness,

A sense of loss or perhaps peace?

Don't try to change the feeling,

Just notice it,

Acknowledge it and return your attention to your breath in and out,

In and out.

You look up to the darkening sky and you see a waning crescent moon shining down on you.

When you return your gaze to the path ahead,

You see an old woman waiting patiently in the distance,

The crone.

She is holding a lantern,

Shining it so you can see where the path is.

As you draw near,

You notice that she's surrounded by lavender.

A sense of calm comes over you and a feeling of peace.

As you come closer still,

You take in her long gray hair,

Her time-weathered skin,

The crow's feet deep around her eyes and the wisdom within them.

You stare at her and you can see yourself reflected back in her gaze.

She slowly leads you to a place just off the path where Tartarian Aster grows.

She gestures gracefully towards them and tells you to look into their small purple blooms.

As you do,

The faces of loved ones who have passed appear and fond memories fill your mind.

Emotions flood through you and you can feel the hands of the maiden,

The mother and the crone on your shoulders and back,

Supporting you,

Drawing your emotions into them like lightning rods draw electricity into the ground.

After several moments,

You are then left with only love and gratitude for your life,

For those you love,

For the strength inside of you.

When you feel ready,

The maiden,

Mother and crone continue to slowly walk you down the path until you realize that you are back where you started at the garden gate.

A full circle,

You turn to each of them,

Looking into their beautiful,

Loving faces and once again you see yourself reflected back.

You memorize their essence,

Their unique power,

Knowing that you carry them with you always as they carry you.

Taking a deep breath,

You step back through the gate and onto the road and you gradually,

Slowly make your way home.

With each step you take,

You can feel the energy of the earth under your feet.

It makes its way up your legs,

Through your calves,

Your thighs.

You can feel the energy move up into your hips and your pelvis.

Energy flows into your belly,

Up into your chest and as your lungs fill with air,

With every breath,

Energy radiates into your bloodstream and throughout your entire body.

It moves across your shoulders,

Down your arms to your hands.

It moves from the front of your throat to the back of your neck.

It awakens the features of your face,

Your lips,

Your nose,

Your eyes,

Your chin and cheeks,

Your forehead and your ears.

The energy reaches all the way to the crown of your head and as you breathe in,

Send energy to every part of your physical body.

As we end today's meditation,

We'll spend the next few breaths bringing to mind three things that you are grateful for.

Send a loving blessing for these three things out into the world.

Know that as you leave this meditation,

Blessings will return to you threefold and know that you are always guided and protected by the power of the triple goddess within you.

Namaste.
