Experience the feeling of love expanding throughout your body, out into the world, then reflected back again. Our ability to love and care for others begins with self-care, self-compassion, and self-love. This is a reminder to practice loving kindness with the help of a loving mantra. Simply Love is Part 3 of the Simply Meditation Series.

Welcome to Simply Meditation.

This is part three of the Simply Meditation series and it is called Simply Love.

As we begin,

I invite you to find a comfortable seat,

To have your feet flat on the floor,

Straightening your back and releasing any tension in your shoulders.

I invite you to bring your hand to your heart.

Feel the breath expand your chest as you breathe in and out.

You are calm and relaxed.

Focus on feeling your heartbeat.

It's steady,

Strong.

Your heart carries you as your breath carries you.

And you carry your heart.

Thank yourself for being here today,

For extending this compassion and care to yourself in these times by taking some time for yourself.

Because as you take this time,

This meditation for yourself,

You are able to better love and care for others in your life.

It all begins with self-care.

Breathing in again and holding 3,

2,

1,

Exhale.

Let your hand fall.

I invite you to make space in this meditation for all of your feelings,

Even the ones that you don't want to feel.

Manage all of your feelings,

Accept all of your feelings,

Forgive all of your feelings and love all of your feelings.

As we go through this world,

As we go through the human experience,

We experience things that maybe we don't want to.

They draw up feelings in us that we would rather not feel because they make us uncomfortable.

But to hold space for these feelings,

To allow them to come through our body,

To allow that energy to be in motion,

That is how we love ourselves.

We acknowledge the feelings and then we accept them through forgiveness.

And in doing that,

We're able to love our feelings and love ourselves.

This is self-compassion.

It is loving kindness towards ourselves.

If we're unable to have forgiveness,

Compassion,

And kindness towards ourselves first,

If we can't do that,

Then we have no hope of feeling it for other people.

And magic begins in self-love.

Moving further into this practice,

I want you to draw up the feeling of love into your heart.

Feel that warm energy in your chest moving into your heart chakra.

Think about someone or something that you know you love.

It could be a child,

Your best friend,

A sibling,

A parent,

A pet.

Bring that image of that person or friend into your mind and focus on the feeling that they bring up for you in your heart.

Hold on to that feeling of love.

I invite you to let that energy to grow and expand until you can feel it not only in your heart but in your chest,

All throughout your heart chakra,

Moving into your solar plexus,

In your belly.

Feel it moving into your throat chakra.

Let that warmth expand down your arms to your fingertips.

Feel it move down through your hips to your pelvic floor and down your legs to your toes.

Feel it move past your throat all the way up your neck to your face,

To the tips of your ears,

All the way to the top of your head.

Let it envelop all of you.

Feel it everywhere in your body,

From crown all the way to root.

Let it flow beyond you.

Feel the glow moving past your fingertips.

Feel it moving out of your chest until you are wrapped in this warm ball of energy all around your body.

Let it push out from your fingertips and your toes to everyone surrounding you.

Let it flow out into the world.

As this feeling of warmth and love flows from you,

Let it also flow back again.

Feel this reflection of love coming from you,

Going out into the world and reflecting back upon you.

It flows from the world back to you in this cycle of love.

Let it flow all through nature to the trees and the plants and the animals.

Let it flow out to humanity,

Out into the universe.

And feel that feeling coming back to you tenfold.

That energy of love is beaming onto yourself.

If your palms aren't already open,

Face them upward and feel that loving,

Warm energy soaking into your palms,

Into your body,

Back up your shoulders,

Up your legs,

Down your neck,

Back into your chest and into your heart.

As you move through the world,

Consider using a mantra of love as an affirmation during your day.

When you need to remember that you are love,

You are loved and you are loving.

The term that I use is I am loving,

I am lovable,

I am love.

Repeat it to yourself in your mind or whisper it to yourself.

I am loving,

I am lovable,

I am love.

Write this on a piece of paper as a reminder that you are love.

Repeat it when you need to feel love.

If you're feeling down,

If your energy is low,

Remember that you can bring this feeling of love into your chest,

Into your heart and into your mind just with those few words.

I am loving,

I am lovable,

I am love.

I am loving,

I am lovable,

I am love.

Ground yourself in this mantra as you go about your day.

As we begin to end practice today,

I invite you to inhale deeply through your nose and out through your mouth with pursed lips five times.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Breathe at your own pace.

I am loving,

I am lovable,

I am love.

I invite you to use this love mantra each day and to go out into the world and simply love.

Thank you for joining me in this practice today.

I love you.

Namaste.
