Welcome to Simply Meditation.

Today's practice is the fourth and final part of our Simply Meditation series and is called Simply You.

Today we are going to focus on self-discovery,

Authenticity,

And connecting with the inner self.

We're going to begin by settling into our seat,

Breathing deeply and settling into stillness,

Settling into the moment,

Settling into you.

Take a few moments to feel your body relax.

Let all of your tension of the day melt away.

Let all of the stress that you carry with you to drain from your body as the air moves in and out.

As you settle into this moment,

Let everything outside of you just fall away until there's just you left.

Now that you're completely relaxed,

Ask yourself the question,

Who am I?

Who are you right now?

Who were you yesterday?

Who will you be tomorrow?

Who is it that you want to be tomorrow?

Who do you want to be right now?

Think about the person that you portray to the world,

The person that society sees,

That your coworkers see,

The person that your family sees.

That is your outermost layer of yourself.

The person that engages and processes the outside world.

This person engages with the world through your senses,

Sight,

Sound,

Touch,

Taste,

And smell.

This person is the bridge between your inner and outer reality.

The container that you're born into that holds all the other parts of yourself.

That is one side of you.

Another side is your energy.

You carry this with you.

People feel your energy when you walk into a room.

You can feel your energy when you sit with yourself as you are now.

Our energy can shift from moment to moment.

Day to day.

But you carry this energy with you throughout your life.

Another side of you is your mind.

The inner part of you that has your beliefs,

Your mental and emotional processes.

Your mind carries your personality.

Your knowledge.

Your memories.

It's where you hold your anxieties,

Your worries,

And also your ability to be calm.

To trust in the process of life.

The fourth part of you is your intuition.

It's beyond the mind.

Beyond thought.

This part of you comes from purely inside of yourself.

It's where you hold your wisdom and your inner knowing.

Finally,

At the very center of you,

Your innermost part of yourself.

In this part of you,

There is only truth,

Only love,

The very center of your soul.

When you think about who you are,

Consider each part of yourself.

Look deeper than what the outer world sees.

Look deeper than what you think of yourself.

There is more to you than meets the eye.

When you engage with each of these parts of yourself,

Only then can you truly know who you are.

Only then can you truly know who you are.

Continuing to breathe,

We're going to take a moment to honor and thank the you of yesterday.

As you breathe out,

Let it all go.

Let go of the labels.

Let go of the stories.

Let go of the feelings that you still carry.

Let it all go.

Breathing in,

Honor the person that you are sure to become.

And then breathe out and let it all go.

Let go of the expectations.

Let go of the anxieties.

Let go of the looking to tomorrow.

Let go of the fears.

Let it all go.

Breathing in again,

Honor who you are right now.

All that you are in this moment.

Step in to the truth of who you are.

The truth of your existence.

There is no other you.

There is no other person who was born at exactly the same time in exactly the same place.

Connect with the truth of the universe,

The truth and love at the center of all that is life.

There is no other you who has lived what you have lived,

Who knows what you know,

Who has experienced all that you have experienced.

Each of these things plays into who you are.

As you deepen your connection with yourself,

You are also going to deepen your connection with the truth.

If you can learn to follow your intuition,

Follow pure love,

Follow truth,

Then you will find your truth.

You will find your authenticity.

You will connect with your inner self.

You will discover all that there is to know about who you are and what your purpose is.

When we were born,

We were all given a divine purpose.

We were all given a role to play.

As you sit in meditation and connect with your breath,

Connect with your body,

Connect with your thoughts,

Connect with love,

And connect with the truth of who you are,

You are building your connection with each of these layers of yourself.

You are building your connection with the divine.

As we begin to end practice,

I invite you to simply sit and relax in silence to honor yourself,

All the parts of yourself.

If an embrace is what your inner self and what your body is asking for,

Then I invite you to wrap your arms around your body and hold yourself close.

If you feel like your body needs to sink into the ground and be supported by the earth,

Then I invite you to lie back in Shavasana.

Or if you need to be cradled by the earth in Child's Pose,

Please take a moment to do that.

However you need to honor yourself today,

I invite you to take those actions and honor yourself.

Relax fully into whichever position you've chosen and connect with you.

Connect with the truth of who you are.

Listen to your inner self.

Now that you've spent some time connecting to the truth of who you are,

I invite you to carry this person,

Carry yourself back into the room around you.

Move with the truth of who you are in your daily life.

As you go about your day,

Remember that meditation is simple.

Deepening your connection with meditation is simply deepening your connection with yourself.

It begins with the breath,

Noticing it moving in and out of your body.

Focus in on observation.

Notice your thoughts moving in and out of your mind.

At the core of meditation is love.

Love for yourself,

Love for the world.

And at the very center of your meditation practice is you.

Thank you for joining me for this series.

I hope that it has brought you peace and balance.

I hope that you continue your meditation practice.

I hope that as you move about your day,

You connect with the truth of who you are,

The truth of the universe.

This series is now complete.

Namaste.
