Hello beautiful,
I'm so thankful you're here with me right now.
The room is quiet,
The world is asleep,
And yet here you are,
Awake again.
Your body is warm,
Your thoughts are moving,
Your rest is interrupted.
Perhaps there's frustration,
Maybe worry begins to creep in,
Maybe exhaustion whispers,
Why is this happening again?
But tonight,
There's nothing wrong.
This waking,
This heat,
This restlessness,
It's simply your body moving through change.
And instead of fighting it,
We're going to meet this moment with softness.
So take a slow breath in through your nose,
Let it move gently into your chest and your belly,
And then exhale slowly through your nose.
Again,
Inhale cool,
Steady air,
And exhale the tension you've been holding.
Feel the sheets beneath you,
Feel the pillows supporting your head,
Feel the quiet safety of the night around you.
This moment is simply for resting.
If your body feels warm,
Imagine a soft night breeze moving across your skin,
Cool and gentle,
Like open windows and distant ocean air.
Let that coolness move across your forehead,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Down through your arms,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your legs,
And your feet.
If anxiety begins to stir,
If your mind starts making lists or replaying conversations or worrying about tomorrow,
It's okay,
Just notice it.
Thoughts are only passing visitors,
They don't need your attention right now.
Let them drift by like clouds crossing the dark sky.
Night waking can feel lonely,
But you are not alone in this season.
Right now,
In this very moment,
So many women are awake with you,
Moving through the same tides,
The same shifts,
The same transformations.
Your body is recalibrating,
Finding its new rhythm,
And even in these wakeful moments,
Rest is still possible.
Bring your attention back to your breath.
Inhale slowly,
Exhale even slower,
Let each breath feel heavier,
As though your body is sinking deeper into the mattress,
Heavier,
Softer,
Looser.
Sleep comes naturally when the body feels safe enough to let go.
So give yourself permission now to simply rest.
If sleep takes a little time,
That's okay,
Your body knows the way back.
Feel your jaw soften,
Your tongue rest easily,
Your shoulders melt down,
Let your belly loosen and your hips open and soften.
Feel your whole body exhale and release.
Your breath will guide you,
And sleep will come again,
Just as it always does.
So rest now,
Dear one,
Float gently between wake and dream,
Safe and held,
And love in this season.
Namaste.
Beautiful.
