
Chakra Balancing Meditation
This guided chakra balancing meditation will help you clear stagnant energy, gain clarity, and feel more balanced and aligned. We will move through the chakras with visualizations, chanting seed sounds, and positive affirmations. Background music by Chris Collins
Transcript
Find a comfortable seated position.
Option to sit up on a cushion to help raise the hips.
You may also sit up against a wall if you are not used to sitting in a meditative posture.
Ensure spine is long,
Stacked over the pelvis.
Belly button slightly toward the spine to support the lower back.
Crown of the head reaching up toward the sky,
Chin slightly tucked.
Shoulders relaxed and arms heavy with hands resting on your knees or folded in your lap.
Feel yourself in this space and the air that surrounds your body.
Bring awareness to your breath,
Feeling it move in and out through the nose.
Now become aware of your first chakra,
Your root chakra or muladhara chakra.
The space at the base of your spine,
Your tailbone or the perineum.
Perhaps you start to see a red light or a red orb or a red spinning wheel.
However you visualize it,
Keep your awareness on this space.
Breathe and watch in your mind's eye this vibrant red root chakra spinning or pulsing with each breath.
We can also introduce the seat sound or the bija mantra for your root chakra.
Lam.
L A M.
As you breathe in mentally chant om.
As you breathe out mentally chant lam.
Om lam om lam.
Continuing to keep awareness on your root chakra.
Om lam.
Now feel this beautiful vibrant red light start to flood over your entire body.
Allow it to flow out from the bottom of your feet,
Out your fingertips and out the top of your head.
Feel the warmth and soothing sensation as you are bathed in warm red and allow yourself to feel grounded and secure both physically and emotionally.
Now become aware of your second chakra,
Your sacral chakra or sva yasthana chakra.
The space at the sacrum along the spine.
Perhaps you start to see an orange light or spinning wheel.
However you visualize it keep your awareness there.
Breathe and watch in your mind's eye your warm orange sacral chakra spinning or pulsing with each breath.
You may also use the bija mantra for your sacral chakra.
Vam.
V A M.
Silently chanting and breathing om vam.
Om vam.
Om vam.
Now feel this beautiful vibrant orange light start to flood over your entire body.
Allow it to flow out from the bottom of your feet,
Your fingertips and out the top of your head.
Feel the warmth and soothing sensation as you are bathed in warm orange.
Feeling creativity start to flow and tuning into your emotions and sensuality.
Now become aware of your third chakra,
Your solar plexus chakra or manipura chakra.
The space just above the navel along the spine.
Perhaps you start to visualize a yellow light,
Orb or spinning wheel.
However you see it keep your awareness there.
Breathe and watch in your mind's eye your warm yellow manipura chakra spinning or pulsing with each breath.
While chanting the bija mantra aram or a m.
Om Ram.
Om Ram.
Om Ram.
Now feel this beautiful warm yellow light start to flood over your entire body like sunshine beaming down on you.
Allow it to flow out from the bottom of your feet,
Out your fingertips and out the top of your head.
Feel the warmth and soothing sensation as you are bathed in warm yellow.
Feeling your power start to flow and tuning into your positive self-esteem.
Now let's bring awareness to your fourth chakra,
Your heart chakra or anahata chakra.
The space in the center of your chest along the spine.
Perhaps you start to visualize a green light orb or spinning wheel.
However you see it keep your awareness there.
Breathe and watch in your mind's eye your vibrant green anahata chakra spinning or pulsing with each breath.
You may include the bija mantra yam y a m.
Om yam.
Om yam.
Om yam.
Now feel this beautiful green light start to flood over your entire body.
Allow it to flow out from the bottom of your feet,
Your fingertips and the crown of your head.
An overwhelming feeling of self-love and compassion moves over every cell of your body as you are bathed in this loving green light.
Now become aware of your fifth chakra,
Your throat chakra or vijuda chakra.
The space in the center of your neck along the spine.
Perhaps you start to visualize a blue light orb or spinning wheel.
However you see it keep your awareness there.
Breathe and watch in your mind's eye your beautiful blue throat chakra spinning or pulsing with each breath while mentally chanting the bija mantra yam yam.
Om yam.
Om yam.
Om yam.
Now feel this beautiful blue light start to flood over your entire body.
Allow it to flow out from the top of your head,
Out your fingertips and out the bottom of your feet.
Feel the warmth and soothing sensation as you are bathed in blue feeling the ability to speak your truth.
Now become aware of your sixth chakra,
Your third eye chakra or your adnya chakra.
This chakra is located in the pituitary gland in the brain.
Perhaps you start to see a deep indigo or deep purple color,
Light orb or spinning wheel.
However you visualize it keep your awareness there.
Breathe and watch in your mind's eye your beautiful indigo adnya chakra spinning or pulsing with each breath as you mentally chant om.
The bija mantra for the third eye chakra is om.
This is your seed of intuition,
Your place of deep wisdom.
Om.
Now feel this beautiful indigo light start to flood over your entire body.
Allow it to flow out from the space between your eyebrows,
The top of your head,
Out through your fingertips and out the bottom of your feet.
Feel the warmth and soothing sensation as you are completely bathed in indigo.
Now we move on to our last chakra,
Your crown chakra or sahasrara chakra.
This chakra is located at the very top of the head.
Bring your awareness to the space at the top of your head.
Perhaps you start to visualize a brilliant and pure white light orb or spinning wheel.
However you see it keep your awareness there.
Breathe and watch in your mind's eye your brilliant white sahasrara chakra spinning or pulsing with each breath.
Feeling your connection to source and to the universe deepen.
There is no bija mantra for the crown chakra as we usually observe silence for this chakra.
Alternatively you may chant om if that calls to you.
Now feel this beautiful pure white light start to flood over your entire body.
Allow it to flow out from the top of your head,
Your fingertips and out the bottom of your feet.
Feel the warmth and soothing sensation as you are completely bathed in this brilliant white loving light.
Allowing your entire body to glow with this brilliant light.
I am at peace.
I connect to my inner wisdom.
I speak up for myself.
I am love.
I am confident.
I am creative and enjoy healthy desires.
I am safe and grounded.
I am completely balanced and nothing holds me back.
