Dear Body, our relationship has been troubled for so long; but it is time that we become friends. I love you. This meditation is created to address our fractured relationship we may have with our body. Offer love to your beautiful body. See clearly, perhaps for the first time that this body is perfect... even when it isn't.

Dear body,

I love you.

I observe you in awe and wonder.

I love you,

Dear body.

You hold me safe and carry my essence.

You have been my vessel from the moment of my physical conception.

And in each breath you take,

You continue to honour and serve.

In the past,

Dear body,

I have been less than kind.

Dear body,

I have caused insult and injury to you.

I have taken you for granted.

I have held you accountable to cruel and untenable standards.

I have failed to protect you from internal and external harm.

Dear body,

I love you and I am profoundly sorry that it has taken me so long to see that you are perfect.

You have not failed me,

Dear body.

I have failed you.

I'm sorry.

Dear body,

I love you.

I see clearly now that all your efforts were made for me.

I see that your creation was made in love.

Dear body,

I love you.

I hold you in gratitude.

Allow me to love you.

Allow me to serve your needs.

Dear body,

You are so strong and willing.

I know that you have never failed me.

That no matter what challenges or impediments you have endured,

Time and time again,

You have offered all that you have,

All that you are.

Dear body,

I am sorry that I ever doubted your beauty or your strength.

I am so very grateful to you,

Dear body.

From this moment,

Know that I see you.

From this instant,

I will listen to you.

From this very breath onward,

I will protect you.

I will love you.

I will love you,

Dear body.

And when the time comes that we must part,

I will not be sad.

I will not be disappointed by you or resent you for leaving.

I will be grateful for all that you have given me.

Dear body,

I love you.

I really really needed this today. As person suffering from chronic illness since a teenager, the relation with my body has not been the best. Now, I developed more chronic illnesses for not loving my body when it needed me. I am rebuilding this relationship and this meditation touched me very deeply. Thanks!
