Take some time to rest as the open expanse of awareness. When we are only aware, we experience a natural sense of well-being and peace. It’s a great relief and freedom to realize that underneath everything is awareness, and awareness has the qualities of clarity, well-being, happiness, and love.

Drop your mind down into your body.

Ground yourself here,

Located in the body.

Allow your breathing to be completely natural.

Soften the belly and observe the breath as it settles into a natural rhythm.

Tune into the natural rise and fall of the breath in the belly.

Rest in your current experience.

Don't try to change it.

Leave it alone,

Including any thoughts that you're having about it.

Notice thoughts as thoughts,

Feelings as feelings,

Sounds as sounds.

Notice that you're already aware of this moment without any intention or effort.

Awareness is a natural quality of your being.

It isn't something you have to do.

Look to see what's here now.

Look around the body.

Notice how your body is feeling.

Is it comfortable or uncomfortable?

Is it agitated,

Relaxed,

Tired,

Or neutral?

Let your body be as it is without changing anything.

A simple knowing of the body in a relaxed way.

Become interested in the activity of your mind and thoughts.

Be aware of whether your thoughts are agitated,

Calm,

Emotional,

Anxious,

Or neutral.

Without changing anything,

Allow your mind and thoughts to be as they are.

Now notice the space in which thoughts are moving.

Relax your awareness from focusing on the content of your experience and ease into the open space of awareness itself like the context of consciousness.

Be the awareness itself.

You'll still have thoughts,

Emotions,

Sensations,

And perceptions.

Receive these without judging.

Don't try to stop thoughts,

Feelings,

Sensations,

Or perceptions.

Release commentary when it arises.

Be the simple knowing of your experience.

Know that thoughts,

Feelings,

Sensations,

And perceptions are coming and going.

Be the knowing of the flow of experience.

Don't try to get anywhere.

Don't try to control your experience.

Don't resist any part of your experience.

Let go of any doership or control.

The doer can just stop doing for a moment.

In that stopping,

Just let everything be.

Let there be a deeper relaxing of the doer.

Have a kind of curiosity.

Notice what happens in experience when we really let experience be the way it is.

Let everything be,

But also really pay attention.

Let go of doing,

Analysis,

Struggle.

Deeply relax the doer.

Just abide.

Let go of any attaining or controlling.

Stop.

Let be.

Let go.

And what's left is awareness.

Just be being awareness.

Resting in awareness.

Get the feel of it,

Not the thought of it.

You may get lost for a moment,

Say in a thought or a memory,

Or some pattern of doing that arises and distracts you unintentionally.

When you notice you've been distracted,

Just stop.

Stop and let everything be again.

Feel what that feels like.

Let go and abide in the open,

Spacious sense of awareness.

Feel the steadiness,

The continuity of awareness as thoughts and feelings come and go.

Rest as awareness.

Spacious,

Open,

Clear.

Experience awareness as a spacious and open sky within which thoughts and feelings come and go.

Rest as this spacious,

Open,

Sky-like awareness.

Cling to nothing.

Push nothing away.

Don't just think this.

Sense and feel it.

Rest as this aware presence.

Be the presence of awareness.

Relax and abide as being.

Be being.

What is your experience of yourself?

When you're only aware.

Awareness isn't just empty.

There are qualities such as well-being,

Peace,

Quiet,

Calm.

These qualities are always there,

Though they may be obscured.

Be the awareness itself.

Identify as what you always and already are.

Touch and experience this deep aspect of who you are,

Kind and at peace.

It's a great relief and freedom to realize that underneath everything is awareness.

And awareness has the qualities of clarity,

Well-being,

Happiness,

And love.

Cultivate an embodied devotion to this deep and steady aspect of your being.

Marinate in this quality of peace and care with a spirit of heartfulness and devotion.

Offer yourself to this quality of your own being.
