Welcome to the evening routine.
This is your time to relax,
Wind down,
Clear the mind and set your intention for the next day.
Let's begin by bringing yourself into a comfortable position,
Allowing yourself to arrive exactly how you are right now.
And if you feel safe to do so,
Gently closing down your eyes.
Take a moment to land here,
To allow your body to settle as you gently focus on your breath.
Breathing in and letting go.
Breathing in and letting go.
And one more.
Breathing in and letting go.
Notice your reaction to coming into this space.
Is there any tension in your body?
Are you feeling any resistance?
Is it hard to focus?
What emotions,
If any,
Are surfacing?
Just observing,
Not reacting,
Not judging,
Just accepting.
As you continue to breathe in your own natural rhythm,
Give yourself permission to be here now,
Without judgment or expectation.
By giving yourself permission to come to this practice in this way,
You create space for your mind,
Body and emotions to relax into surrender,
To let go of the energies that have built up through the day.
As we walk through each day,
We come across many people and situations where we can pick up energy that does not belong to us.
A beautiful intentional practice at the end of the day is to release this energy.
So let's do this now.
Repeat after me,
Either silently or out loud.
Isolate,
Isolate,
Isolate and release all energy that does not belong to me and is not for my highest good.
I release this now through all time,
Space,
And dimensions.
Breathe in,
Hold,
Then release the breath,
Imagining all the energy leaving your body to be transmuted into unconditional love.
Take one more breath,
Then exhale,
Making sure you let go of any residual energy.
On the next breath in,
Imagine you are calling all your energy back from all the places,
People and experiences you have had today.
So now say,
I call back my energy,
I call back my energy,
I call back my energy from all the places,
People and experiences I have had today.
Breathing in,
Feeling all your energy flooding back,
Returning to you.
Hold as it reintegrates into your energy field.
Then gently release and breathe normally.
Becoming more intentional now with the breath.
Breathing in deeply,
Perhaps the biggest breath you have had so far today.
Feeling your lungs and noticing your body opening and responding by expanding the diaphragm and extending your belly.
Hold here full and now release,
Expelling the air in a controlled exhale,
Letting go of any built-up tension,
Stress or anxiety.
Continue breathing in this way,
Allowing the body to receive,
Soften and release.
Feeling the body dropping into a deeper state of relaxation,
Melting away any stress of the day,
Letting go,
Slowing down,
Coming home to self.
As you sit in this space of stillness,
Become aware of your mind now,
Observing any thoughts as they rush around and on the next breath,
Allow yourself to gently look at these thoughts,
Sending them love as they seek your attention.
In a moment,
We are going to quietly close down our thoughts for the day,
Just as you would shut down your computer screen,
A program or an app by pressing the X in the corner.
As you gently breathe and observe in your mind's eye those things you have open on your desktop screen,
Intentionally begin to lovingly close those thoughts down.
You don't need to have them stay open overnight.
They will be stored and saved on the hard drive or in the cloud.
It is safe for you to close them down now,
One by one by one.
Some may be more difficult than others to put to bed for the night.
Notice any resistance and ask yourself,
What is it you gain from holding this thought open?
Our thoughts can often carry the energy of stress,
Worry and fear,
Which block our bodies from receiving the restorative sleep it needs.
Let's release this energy now with compassion and kindness by saying,
I thank you,
Mind,
For all the work that you do for me each day.
I am grateful for all the data and information that you hold.
I give you permission now to let go of any energy that is no longer needed.
I give you permission to let go of worry that does not serve me.
I give you permission to rest and restore.
I trust you to recall that which I need in the future.
I now ask that all energy of stress,
Worry,
Anxiety and fear now be released.
Breathe in,
Allowing the breath to swirl through your entire head area,
Cleansing and clearing all the clutter.
Then release on the out-breath,
Imagining you are letting go of all negative energy and clutter that no longer serves you.
Perhaps there is one event that is plaguing you from the day,
One thought or one situation and you are not able to shut it down.
Take that thought now.
As you have more space to deal with it,
Send that thought lots of love.
Was it something that occurred in a relationship or interaction with someone?
Can you send yourself love?
Can you send them love?
Can you forgive yourself and let yourself know that you were doing the best you could in that moment?
Can you forgive the other person and know that they were doing the best they could in that moment?
Slowly go through any of those things that occurred today and allow yourself to see them through the eyes of love,
Patience and compassion and send those situations,
Those moments,
Love.
If there is something that you feel you need to take action on,
Allow your mind to let it go and let yourself trust that you will remember tomorrow.
Complete your review of the day and if any moments feel incomplete or uncomfortable,
Shower them with love.
Take a deep breath.
You are doing really well.
Notice now.
Are there any more thoughts to shut down?
Keep going.
As you close down one,
More may appear.
They are flowing easily now,
Almost eager to be done for the day.
Keep going until you notice that you are almost looking at a blank screen.
You sit in the stillness and notice that you feel more spacious in your mind.
There is an emptiness that appears,
A sense of quiet.
You sit and allow yourself to focus on the blank screen.
You just breathe and you enjoy the sensation of relaxation,
Calmness,
Acceptance,
Approval and you have all the spaciousness now.
To set the intentions for the next day,
Imagine now that there is a beautiful gold bubble of light floating in front of you.
What would you like to put in that bubble?
What intention would you like for tomorrow?
Perhaps you would like to send blessings for an amazing day.
Put that in your bubble.
Maybe you would like to be more organised or plan an event,
Do something for your work.
Maybe you would like to send love to your clients or meetings or to your workplace in general.
Add any other tasks that need attention.
Just place them in your bubble with love and with the intention that if it is for my highest good,
To attend to these things tomorrow.
Don't forget to place those must-have moments of me-time and self-love.
When you are finished,
Send that bubble up as though it is a balloon that can fly up into the universe and let it go.
You have set those intentions now and they are all out of the way.
You don't need to take them with you to bed and into your sleep.
Those intentions have been set and sent to the next day where they will be waiting for you in the morning,
Ready and blessed for your action.
Now finally,
Wrap yourself in a pink blanket of love and just let your body sink into the blanket.
Let your bed,
The back of the chair or the floor support you as though it is the blanket and let it give you an amazing hug.
You've done a great job.
It is time to rest and know that you are enough.
You are worthy.
You are amazing.
Whisper to yourself now,
I am enough.
I am amazing.
And just breathing that in,
Allowing yourself to stay wrapped in that blanket of love for as long as you need to.
Perhaps you'll drift off to sleep or finish your night-time routine surrounded in gentleness and kindness,
Enjoying deep relaxation and peace.
