This practice will help you awaken your power,
Presence,
Mastery and greatness inspired by one of the greatest artists of all time,
Beyonce.
Now before you dive into this practice,
I encourage you to watch one of your favorite Beyonce performances because we're going to use the energy that you cultivate from watching that video as your mantra for this practice.
If you need some ideas,
I have some favorites that you can look up.
My number one favorite is probably the Sweet Dreams medley performance that she did at the Wynn Las Vegas.
My second favorite is the Super Bowl halftime show that she did in 2013.
And my third favorite is a little bit more obscure.
It's the performance that she did of a song called Freedom at the BET Awards in 2016.
So go ahead and pause this audio for a moment and go watch your favorite Beyonce performance now and try your best not to get too distracted while you're off watching.
Just come right back to this practice as soon as the video is done.
Now that you've watched your Beyonce video,
I'd like you to close your eyes if you're comfortable doing so and begin to deepen your breath.
Just start by taking a full deep breath in and a deep breath out.
For this practice,
I'd like you to place both of your hands down on your knees with the palms face down.
Just feel.
Notice how you feel right now.
How do you feel after watching that performance?
See if you can even name a word to describe how you feel.
And now I invite you to let that feeling expand and let it start to reverberate through your entire body.
See if you can give yourself permission to feel it more.
Just take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And as you breathe,
Feel that energy just awakening in you even more.
Just like you're stoking a fire,
Use your breath to stoke your inner fire and feel this emotion more.
Breathe.
For the next 30 seconds,
I want you to keep going breathing extra deep on your own and see if with each breath you can stoke your own emotional fire,
Allowing whatever emotion that is to rise up within you.
And even if that means you need to move your body and allow yourself to pulse or move or shake a little bit to wake it up,
That's fine.
For the next 30 seconds,
Do whatever you need.
The practice is yours.
Go.
And take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Feel that.
And now repeat after me.
I empower.
I am greatness.
Repeat that like you mean it.

One of the things I love about this practice is that Beyonce represents something that is already inside of each of us.
She is this incredible sacred reflection for so many of us and is a mirror of what we know is possible for us.
She is a mirror of our own inherent greatness.
So next time you watch Beyonce,
I want you to think about what qualities you see in her that you want to activate within yourself and then wake them up because you are power.
You are greatness.
You ain't ever going to be Beyonce,
But you are you.
