Welcome to your meditation.

This is Julie Skon,

And today's practice is for cultivating self-love.

There is a rare and beautiful word,

Ridamansi.

It comes from the Latin word ridamo,

Which means to love in return.

In essence,

Ridamansi is love returned in full.

Ridamansi refers to the love we give to others,

When it is equally and beautifully given in return.

And it also,

And maybe even more importantly,

Refers to the love we return to ourselves.

Imagine just for a moment,

What if your self-talk,

And how you care for yourself,

How you nourish and nurture yourself,

Became a reflection of that same kindness,

The same reverence that you give,

A love reciprocated in full.

What if right now,

Together,

We practice ridamansi?

Let's go into meditation.

Get really comfortable and cozy.

Place your hands over your heart with the intention of self-love,

And softly close your eyes.

Slowly inhale and exhale.

Feel your chest rise and fall with each breath.

You give a lot of love to this world.

And I know that sometimes that often goes unnoticed or uncelebrated.

But I also know that the love and kindness you share has a ripple effect,

Even more than you may know.

Let's recognize and honor this love in you,

And slowly repeat the words,

Thank you,

To yourself.

Now place your hands softly over a part of your body that could use your care,

Your comfort.

And as you do,

And for this moment of pause,

Say these words to yourself.

I am here for you.

And now place your hands palm side up in your lap.

Feel a warm golden light surrounding you.

This light is love,

Pure love.

Guide this light into your body as you inhale,

And feel your body relax with each exhale.

As you do,

Repeat these words to yourself.

I love you.

Your body hears you.

Every word you speak to it.

Your positive self-talk and kind thoughts are your personal love language.

The more you practice self-love,

The more it will grow.

This is Rudamansi,

A love returned in full.

And it begins with you.

Let's take a nice deep breath together.

Notice how it feels to give yourself love.

Come back to this meditation.

Keep loving,

Keep growing in self-love.

It will truly transform your life.
