During this time of uncertainty and unrest,
Let's take the next few moments to center ourselves and allow ourselves to rest in a state of stillness and quietude by simply relaxing into this moment.
No matter what is going on in the world around us or what has gone on in our day,
This moment is all that matters.
The purpose of this meditation is to bring peace and calm into our minds and into our hearts as we remember that in this very moment,
As we breathe,
We are always protected.
The life force in our breath,
The life force in our lungs,
The life force surrounding us always has the power to keep us well and at ease.
So make yourself comfortable sitting on the floor in a chair and keep your head,
Neck and back in alignment.
Allow your hands to rest comfortably in your lap and gently close your eyes.
When you're ready,
Bring your attention to your breathing and begin the ocean breath.
Keeping your mouth closed,
Inhale and exhale through your nose,
Allowing the air to flow past your windpipe as it travels all the way down to your abdomen.
As if inflating a balloon deep in your stomach,
Your chest hardly moves.
As the air flows out,
Notice the sound of ocean waves.
Notice the rise and fall of your stomach with each breath.
Find your own rhythm.
You feel safe,
Secure,
Relaxed and at ease.
With each breath you take,
Notice your body becoming more and more relaxed.
From the top of your head,
Down to your forehead,
Down to your temples and eyes,
Down to your cheeks and jaw muscles,
Allowing your jaws to soften and relax.
Allowing the relaxation to go down into your neck and shoulders and just letting your shoulders drop even more.
Any tension in your neck and shoulders just fades away with every breath you take.
Allowing down your arms,
Your elbows,
Your forearms,
Your hands and all the way down to the tips of your fingers.
Bringing your attention to the middle of your chest cavity and allowing your chest muscles to soften and relax with every breath you take.
Allowing the relaxation to go down to your abdomen and noticing that your whole upper body is relaxed.
Allowing to go down your body,
Bring that relaxation down into your hips,
Down your legs,
Around your knees,
Down to your calves,
Around your ankles and all the way down to the tips of your toes.
Any remaining tension in your body flows out now through the tips of your toes.
Just watch it float away.
Now imagine being encompassed by a large,
Loving,
Protective shield.
A shield so bright and so intelligent that it only allows good into your life.
Love,
Peace,
Calm,
Wellness.
With every breath you take,
You see and feel this shield becoming stronger.
Notice this shield.
Does it have a color to it?
How far out does it extend from your body?
One foot?
Two feet?
Or maybe even three?
Is there an outer covering?
If so,
What is it made of?
Maybe it's translucent.
You just know it exists.
As you rest in this shield,
You feel a sense of warmth,
Comfort and security inside and it begins to move throughout your whole body with every breath you take.
With each breath,
All tension,
Worry and anxiety leaves your body and flows out now.
See the anxiety.
Watch the worry and fear leave your body with each breath.
Notice it.
What does it look like?
Does it have a color or shape?
Where is it leaving your body?
Through the top of your head?
Your eyes?
Fingers?
Chest?
Or through the tips of your toes?
Wherever it may be,
Just watch it drift away like a cloud on a windy day.
And with every breath you take,
You feel more peaceful,
Calm and at ease.
At this time,
You're feeling strong and powerful and you realize what a miracle your body actually is.
It is an amazing and incredible work of art,
Specifically designed to be and stay well.
You see yourself in this shield with a body that is strong and with an immune system that is powerful beyond belief,
Always working to take care of you.
This protective shield is impenetrable to any negativity,
To any disease or infection of any kind.
Again,
It only allows good into your life.

Peace,
Calm,
Wellness.
No matter what is going on in the world around you,
You remain calm,
Centered and at ease because you know you are always protected in this shield.
You know that your immune system keeps you well and that all you need to do is believe and trust in the power of your own body to do its job.
No need to worry,
No need to fear.
You simply know that you are always protected.
Now allow yourself to sit within this loving and protective shield for a few moments.
With thoughts come in,
Simply watch them come in and watch them go out with each breath and bring your awareness back to your breathing,
Noticing the rise and fall of your chest and abdomen with each breath.
If you have any tension or discomfort,
Just bring your awareness to that area in your body and breathe into that area of your body and allow it to float out with each breath.
Inside this shield is only peace,
Love,
Calm and wellness.
All else fades away.
Sit in this shield of love,
Protection,
Warmth and security.
It is now time to bring this journey to an end.
But before we go,
Allow yourself to feel gratitude for the protection that is surrounding you always.
Feel the gratitude in your heart and in your mind.
As we close,
Allow the shield to slowly fade away and become invisible.
That you know it's always there,
Always protecting you,
Always keeping you well.
You can always connect with this shield through the power of the life force in your breath.
It never leaves you.
So with your next three breaths,
Start to slowly bring yourself back to the moment.
Taking your time,
Bring yourself back to your physical surroundings.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying this protection with you wherever you go.
