Death can be a difficult energy to sit with. Most of us prefer to avoid it most of the time, but now and again it comes up in our lives, shining a different kind of light on our world than we are used to. This Death Light can be compassionate, beautiful, kind, intense, and a lot of other things. Allowing ourselves to sit with it and let it teach us its lessons rather than turning away can bring powerful positive change in our lives. This meditation focuses on Death as a necessary part of life, something that we need not fear. That being said, this meditation is not for everyone at all times. If feelings around death feel overwhelming, terrifying, or traumatic, it may more beneficial to work with a qualified mental health professional to process these feelings before working through it on your own with a meditation like this one.
