Hello and welcome to this short movement meditation.
My name is Julie Ila Grace and I'm honoured to be your guide today.
Thank you.
In this meditation,
We will be exploring isolated and then intuitive movement within the body.
Please note that there is absolutely nothing for you to judge here.
There is nothing for you to judge about your body,
Your movement,
Your thoughts or anything else.
See if you can just allow the movement and the music to take over.
If this feels unfamiliar to you,
That's okay.
This is simply a session for you to meet your body and yourself in movement in this moment.
I recommend that you find a space where you can stretch out and move freely.
This could mean an open living room or even outdoors,
But if these options aren't available to you,
Just find the most comfortable open space to enjoy the movements of your body.
The music you'll hear is the song Ginepro by Emmanuelle Villa and Charlie T.
We thank them deeply for allowing us to use this track.
Let's begin.
Start by bringing yourself up to standing.
Place your feet firmly on the ground and notice where your feet meet the earth.
Notice if you tend to put the weight of your body into one foot more than the other,
Or if you tend to lean more into certain parts of each foot.
Remember,
This is a moment just to notice anything and everything.
Without judgment.
Now take a deep inhale through the nose and sweep your arms up to the sky as you do.
Then allow the arms to come back down as you exhale.
Do this about three times.
Then close your eyes and sigh out.
Allow the natural rhythm of your breath to take over again.
In a moment,
We will begin to notice different parts of the body and we will activate the body part by part.
Once a part is activated,
Feel free to keep it in motion.
Allow yourself to express,
Explore,
And create movement.
There are no rules here other than you listen to your body.
Be as gentle or dynamic as your body needs.
Allow your intuition to guide the movements if possible.
Now gently open your eyes,
And as the music begins,
Take the awareness to your fingers.
Allow your fingers to activate.
How can the fingers dance?
Now activate the wrists,
Forearms,
And elbows,
Upper arms.
Bring your shoulders and chest into movement now.
Then draw movement up through your neck and into your head.
Now activate the spine.
Maybe you fold forward.
Maybe you dance with your belly.
Remember,
There are no right or wrong movements here.
Here is a moment for you to express,
To live,
To be here now in this body.
Activate your hips and pelvis.
Travel down your legs now,
Into your knees,
Down into your ankles,
And into your feet,
Feeling free to move the entire body to explore the space around you.
Allow your body to express this moment.
Here you are,
Beautiful,
Living being.
Here you are,
Exploring,
Playing,
Dancing.
Here you are,
Alive.
Maybe you want to explore the earth with your body.
Maybe you want to jump or twirl.
Whatever you do,
The expression is completely unique to you in this moment.
Because there is no other you on this earth now.
There is no other you that has existed exactly like this before.
And there is no other you that will exist exactly like this again.
And here is this moment.
So be free to express whatever is inside you.
Be free to keep exploring now.
Now begin to slow your movements down as the music winds down.
End the track in whatever position presents itself.
And when the music stops,
Rest in place.
Notice your breath again.
Feel your body.
Notice any shifts in your energy from when you began the movement four minutes ago to now.
Feel yourself again here on earth right now.
When you're ready,
Carry onward.
Through the rest of this day.
Blessings for all your journeys.
