Welcome to this meditation for grief and loss.
Find a comfortable position.
It can be seated or lying down.
Make sure you are warm and comfortable.
Feel free to close your eyes if it feels comfortable to do so.
Now allow yourself to relax,
Taking slow deep breaths.
Using the breath to calm your mind and body.
As you relax,
Join me to explore grief and loss.
Allow yourself to connect and feel free to find your own words to illustrate your own experiences.
Let's begin now by connecting.
Let's go inwards.
Place your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your abdomen.
Inhale slowly and deeply,
Allowing your breath to fill your body.
Hold the breath and exhale.
Notice your abdomen rise and fall as you slowly inhale and exhale.
Calm your mind and connect with your soul.
Check in with your heart.
Check in with your heart and notice what you need at this moment in time to transform through your grief.
Keep your attention on your breath.
Breathe easily and naturally.
Take a moment to connect with your heart and your grief by recalling grief or a loss that has really affected you.
It may even be an anticipation of loss.
Allow yourself to be open to the pain and sorrow of grief.
Let it move through your body to be released.
Notice what emotions may come up.
Witness if you are releasing them or clinging to some of them.
Connect with your heart,
Soul.
Allow the breath of life to guide you.
Repeat these questions to guide you.
What questions does your heart need to be answered?
Go inwards and ask your heart.
Allow the questions to guide you to what it is you need to become unstuck.
I invite you to ask.
May I be open to the sorrow and pain of my grief?
May I be open to the sorrow and pain of my grief?
May I find inner strength to sit with my grief and sorrow?
May I find inner strength to sit with my grief and sorrow?
Gently notice if any resistance comes up.
Notice what feelings or thoughts may arise.
Just let them be.
May I accept my sadness knowing that I am not my sadness?
May I accept my sadness knowing that I'm not my sadness?
And take this moment to inhale peace and acceptance.
Hold and exhale love and joy.
Inhale peace and acceptance.
Hold and exhale love and joy.
Continue to gently breathe and allow your emotions to flow.
Continue to go inwards connecting with your soul,
Allowing yourself to release the pain and sorrow.
May I ask for forgiveness if there's anything undone with my loved one?
May I ask for forgiveness for anything that was left undone with my loved one?
May I allow myself to receive kindness and love from others as they support me on this journey with grief?
May I allow myself to receive kindness and love from others as they support me on this journey with grief?
Continue to witness your emotions keeping your heart and mind open.
I am worthy of love and support.
I am not alone.
I am worthy of love and support.
I am not alone.
Guide me in my exploration of grief and allow me to learn how to transform this sorrow back to love.
Guide me in my exploration of grief and allow me to learn how to transform this sorrow back to love.
Allowing us to remember that our relationships and connections do not end but simply transform and change.
Show me how to transform this pain back to love.
Continue to take gentle breaths.
Scan your body and take notice where you may have any tension or pain from your grief and with each inhalation imagining a white healing light entering that space and filling the space with peace and acceptance.
As you exhale relax and allow the tension or pain to be eased.
Give yourself permission to release any thoughts or feelings that are making you feel stuck.
You deserve to release and have peace.
Grief can give us a deeper understanding of our purpose and humanness.
Breathe in deeply,
Exhale releasing your hands from your body and if your eyes are closed you can slowly and gently open them.
Coming back to the room.
Thank you for joining me.
Continuing if you wish to contemplate and journal to release any additional emotions that may have come up.
Peace and blessings beautiful soul.
