Welcome to this safe place meditation.
It will help you to drift off to sleep.
So lie down on your back,
On your side,
On the floor,
In your bed and get really comfortable.
Rest your head on a pillow and cover yourself with a blanket or duvet.
Get really comfortable.
Sink your head into the pillow and give yourself a little smile.
Right now you don't have to do anything other than relax and be comfortable.
Now just place your attention on the body and notice how it feels right now.
Can you feel your head resting on the pillow?
Can you feel your neck and your shoulders relaxing?
Allow your whole face to soften and relax.
Close your eyes.
Can you feel your whole back is being supported?
And allow your arms and legs to flop and spread.
Getting really comfortable.
Whatever you need to do.
Letting your whole body completely relax.
And just lie there without doing anything.
You may notice that your mind is doing some thinking.
That's fine.
There is no need to get caught up in your thoughts.
Just let them pass like the clouds in the sky.
Or leaves floating down a river.
Right now your whole body is winding down and relaxing.
Finding some peacefulness and calmness.
When you are feeling relaxed,
Allow your mind to go to a place where you feel completely safe.
A safe place.
It might be a place you have visited before.
Or somewhere you would like to go to.
Perhaps it's a family member or friend's house.
Or a beautiful garden.
Or a golden sunny beach.
Any place that comes into your mind where you feel good and safe.
It is a beautiful,
Relaxing place.
Where you are cared for and loved.
For being just the person you are.
What do you notice about this place?
What's going on around you?
Notice what colors or smells are there.
Are there any other children to play with?
Or toys?
Or animals perhaps?
Feel what a nice place this is to spend time in.
One of the most wonderful things about this safe place is that you don't have to do anything or take care of anyone else.
You can just be yourself here.
And you don't have to do or change anything at all.
Just keep spending time in this beautiful,
Safe place.
Noticing the body softening and relaxing.
Letting go of all worries.
All thoughts.
All plans.
This is a good,
Safe place.
It is a safe place that you can always visit whenever you want.
