Hello my friends,
And thanks for joining me for today's meditation.
Today's practice is about reclaiming your worth.
Not earning it,
Not proving it,
Reclaiming it.
Because your worth was never lost.
It may have been buried,
Questioned or doubted,
But it was never gone.
Begin by finding a comfortable position.
Let your hands rest gently,
And allow your eyes to close.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And a long breath out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale,
And exhale.
And now let your breathing return to a natural rhythm.
As you exhale,
Imagine setting down the weight of needing to be enough.
Notice where your body feels tight.
Your chest,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders or your stomach.
Gently soften those places.
Somewhere along the way,
You may have learned that your value depends on what you produce.
How much you achieve,
How well you perform,
How pleasing you are to others.
But your worth is not a performance.
It is not conditional.
It is inherent.
Imagine just for a moment that you were born already enough.
That there was nothing you had to prove,
Nothing you had to fix,
Nothing you had to do to become deserving of love.
Breathe into that possibility,
And notice what resistance arises.
Maybe a voice says,
I should be further by now,
Or I haven't done enough,
Or if people really knew me.
Just simply notice these thoughts.
We're not trying to change them,
We're just observing.
These are old stories,
They are not your truth.
You can thank them for trying to protect you,
And gently let them drift by.
Now bring your mind to a younger version of yourself,
A child version,
Maybe 5 years old or 8.
See their face,
Their eyes.
Would you tell that child they need to earn their worth?
Would you tell them they are valuable only when they succeed?
Of course not.
You would hold them,
Protect them.
Tell them they are precious.
That same tenderness belongs to you now.
Place a hand over your heart,
And feel the warmth of your own touch.
Quietly say to yourself,
I am worthy because I exist.
I do not have to earn my value.
Let these words settle into your body.
And notice if your chest feels softer,
If your breath feels deeper.
Worth is not something the world grants you.
It's something you remember.
You remember it when you stop chasing approval.
You remember it when you say no.
And you remember it when you allow yourself to take up space.
You do not need to convince anyone of your value.
You simply are.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing comparison.
Releasing judgment of yourself.
Releasing doubt about yourself.
Release all of it.
Your path is not behind.
It is not late.
It is yours.
There may still be parts of you that feel unworthy.
That's okay.
You're not trying to force confidence.
You're practicing compassion.
And now say to yourself,
Quietly,
Even when I doubt myself,
I am still worthy.
Even when I fail,
I am still worthy.
Even when I rest,
I am still worthy.
You are allowed to take up space.
You are allowed to have needs.
You are allowed to be seen.
Imagine a soft light in the center of your chest.
A steady,
Warm glow.
This is your inherent worth.
It has always been there.
Under the doubt.
Under the striving.
Under the fear.
And with each breath,
That light grows stronger.
Inhale.
It brightens.
Exhale.
It expands.
Let this light fill your whole body.
Down your arms.
Into your hands.
Through your torso.
Down your legs.
Into your feet.
You are not broken.
You are becoming.
Take one more deep breath in.
Hold it gently.
And release.
Feel the support beneath you.
Feel the air around you.
And just allow yourself to set an intention.
To treat yourself with the same respect you offer others.
To speak to yourself with kindness.
To no longer negotiate your worth.
When you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Slowly open your eyes.
And carry this knowing with you.
Your worth is not something you achieve.
It's something you reclaim.
Again and again.
And it has been yours all along.
Thank you friends for practicing with me.
I'm Julia and I wish you all calm and comfort in your day.
