Hi,

My name is Josh and this is a guided meditation for clarity.

So if you're having something come up in your life that you'd like to get clear on or you'd like to have a better understanding or handle of,

This meditation is for us to become open and curious for some opportunities or potential solutions that we may not have considered yet.

So go ahead and take a moment to come to a space where you can be for the next 10 or 15 minutes in relative quiet.

Once you've found a comfortable seat,

I invite you to close your eyes.

And to recognize that up until now we may be feeling a sense of confusion,

A sense that whatever this situation is,

Is problematic,

Troublesome,

Maybe even causing some worry or anxiety.

I want you to allow whatever emotional or mental feelings are present in your body to be experienced right now.

So take a moment to tune in to whatever is going on in your belly,

In your chest,

Whatever sensations and feelings come up or are already present.

Simply allow them some space to be here with us,

Even if they might feel a little uncomfortable.

Because even though we may have been carrying around these feelings for some time,

They might change.

That up until now we might be feeling a certain way about it,

But that as we come to find a sense of opening,

Of spaciousness for other solutions to rise,

We might begin to feel a little differently.

Good.

Simply tuning into our sense of breath now,

Letting the breath be gentle and easy.

In and out through the nose,

Relaxing our face,

Our eyes,

Jaw,

Relaxing our neck and shoulders,

Allowing our whole body to rest into the support of our seat,

Legs and hips,

Back and chest.

And I invite you now to tune in to a sense of curiosity.

And what does it mean to be curious?

Well,

To me,

It means that there's a sense of openness,

Of a willingness to explore.

Curiosity is not about judgment so much as it is open observation,

To recognize what's actually going on,

Being interested and open to whatever the experience happens to be.

Our sense of curiosity can be gentle.

There's no tension within curiosity,

So allow your body to be restful and allow the quality of mind to be open and receptive to whatever might come up.

And can you remember a time when you were truly curious,

Where you simply wanted to learn,

To listen,

To observe and notice?

What does it feel like when we truly open ourselves to seeing,

To hearing,

To fully experiencing what's in front of us?

What does it feel like to be in awe,

In wonder?

Now I'd like you to call to mind that thing that you have a question about.

Call to mind whatever it is that you find that you need some guidance on,

Or you're looking for a solution to.

And now I'd like you to simply imagine what would it feel like to know that this problem has a solution?

And that the solution might be something you've already thought of before,

And it might be something that you're totally unaware of,

But that this problem has a solution.

What does it feel like to know that?

And what would it feel like to know that the problem is already solved?

Regardless of what that solution might have been,

What is it like when you experience the relief of finding the solution to your problem?

Is there a sense of release?

Or maybe it's of excitement or gratitude,

Of pleasure?

Maybe it's something you weren't expecting.

Allow yourself to rest within that feeling that's inspired by a solution.

And now I invite you to simply allow your mind and body to be open,

To be at ease,

To be receptive to any answer that you're looking for.

Recognizing that we can trust our experience here.

And that we can trust our ability to figure things out.

That we don't always have to know the correct answer to the problems we face.

That sometimes all we need to do is make the best decision we can with the information we have available to us.

And that wherever that decision takes us,

We can continue to discover,

To unfold,

And evolve,

To change an appropriate response to whatever it is we encounter.

We all have the ability to adapt,

To reflect,

To learn,

And grow in this journey.

And as we end this meditation,

I invite you to encourage a feeling of gratitude for this ability to be able to adapt,

Reflect,

And grow.

Because you've been doing it since you were born.

Whether you realize it or not.

Alright,

Let's take a few moments now to make our way out of this meditation.

You can start by wiggling your fingers and toes,

Perhaps rolling the wrists and the ankles,

Taking some subtle body movements.

And over the next few breaths,

We can begin to blink the eyes open and come back into our normal wakeful state.

Taking with us whatever it is,

Whatever feelings or insights that we found valuable within the meditation.

I honor your ability to figure things out.

And I applaud you for making the decisions that seem best with the information that you have available.

Be well.

I wish you the best.
