Hi,

My name is Jonah and this is a breathing practice.

So you'll need to either find a comfortable seat upright or you could recline for this as well.

If you're taking an upright seated position,

Just find a position that allows you to be alert but relaxed.

And if you're reclined,

Same thing,

Alert but totally relaxed.

This breathing practice can be done in and out through the nose or if that's problematic then in and out through the mouth is not a problem.

We'll be working with what's called Samavritti breathing which is equal ratio breath and we'll be using the number four today meaning four count inhale and four count exhale.

So collectively before we start to count,

Let's just take a breath in together and a breath out.

And here we begin.

Inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four inhale two three four exhale two three four see if you can move through a few more rounds on your own.

When you finish your next exhalation just return to unmodified breathing.

Just be breathed.

Hopefully you feel a little bit more connected if to nothing else the fact that you're breathing and that you are alive.
