Welcome to Jar Your Mind.
My name is Joey and in this mental imagery exercise on releasing stress,
I would like you to sit in a chair,
Close your eyes and begin to breathe into the nose and out through the mouth.
Calming the mind,
Slowing down the thoughts.
And I want you,
As you sit in your chair,
Picture yourself looking down at your hand with your eyes closed and in your right hand is a stress ball.
Squeeze the ball,
Feel it in your hand and breathe in and breathe out.
Keep looking at this ball,
Form an image within the ball of what this stress is to you today.
As you are looking within this ball to see the stress,
The ball begins to get a little bigger and bigger so that now you need to use your left hand to hold and you are seeing the stress and the ball is getting heavier and heavier in your hands.
It is getting harder to hold on to this ball.
You reach out your arms away from your body and you toss the ball out onto the ground.
You feel the release in your shoulders.
You feel the release through your entire body as the ball rolls away,
Further and further away from you and you continue to feel lighter and lighter and lighter.
And you look down at your hands and you bring them to your heart knowing that all is well.
You continue to breathe in and out,
Feeling the release.
When you are ready,
You can open your eyes.
Perform this imagery exercise anytime to relieve stress from the body.
Often we don't even realize how stressed we are until we address it and then let it go.
Thank you everyone for joining me and I will see you in the next video.
