Hello,
This is Jodi with Big Heart and today's practice is a mantra practice.
Find a comfortable seat,
Whether sitting up or lying down,
Whatever works best for you.
Gently close or cap your eyes and start to take some deep breaths in through your nose,
Out through your nose.
Just feeling your body,
Noticing how your body and breath are connected.
Today,
We'll practice Santosha,
The Sanskrit word for contentment.
It means complete acceptance of this moment as it is,
Not waiting for life to be perfect before you feel peace,
But finding peace right here.
So,
Allow your breath to become your anchor,
Your anchor.
Inhaling slowly and fully,
And exhaling completely.
Notice the rise and fall of your chest as you breathe.
Notice the rhythm of your breathing.
Feel your body supported beneath you and allow your muscles to soften.
Your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your belly.
Feel the ease within your body,
The effortlessness of your breath.
Allowing yourself to go a little deeper in this moment.
Silently and mindfully,
Begin to repeat your mantra.
Santosha With each inhale,
You draw acceptance,
And with each exhale,
You let go of striving.
Santosha I will mind the time as you repeat that over and over.
Now allow that phrase to drift off into the distance,
And rest in knowing that everything is enough in this moment.
Santosha Notice the stillness within.
As your practice comes to a close,
Keep your eyes closed for a moment longer.
And when you're ready,
Bring one hand to your heart and whisper quietly,
I am con.
.
.
When ready,
Open your eyes and carry this peace into your day.
Namaste
