Hello,
This is Jodi with Big Heart and today we are going to focus on breath awareness and calling forth your community.
So allow yourself to get comfortable in your chair or cushion,
Sitting up in a nice relaxed position or lying down if that is better for you,
And start by taking some slow,
Long,
Deep breaths.
Allow your body to settle into your seat.
If your eyes are still open,
Go ahead and close or cap them now and just follow your gentle inhale and exhale,
Knowing that it is okay to have thoughts.
Just keep coming back to your breath or my voice if your mind wanders.
Keep witnessing your breath in this moment,
Breathing in you are breathing in,
Breathing out you are breathing out,
Letting go of your identity and realizing your power and being here in this moment with me.
Allow your breath to pull you to pull you down into your body.
Simply bring your attention to the rise and the fall of your chest as you breathe,
Connecting your body to your breath and your breath to your body.
Witness the stillness.
Notice how the cool air enters into your nose and the warm air when you release it out.
Visualize your breath going in and down and through your lungs.
Let's feel your whole body relax and still.
Let's have a conversation with that heart of yours.
Let's honor your journey.
You have had friends weave in and out of your life.
Some stay for months while others stay for years.
Some create a mess while others create harmony.
Some friendships start out strong and fade over time while others are steady and never waver.
Some days you feel so loved and other days you feel so alone.
Over the years you change,
You grow,
You evolve.
They change,
They grow,
Or they don't and that's okay.
When you honor your path and lead with your heart,
Your community shows up.
The universe hears that heart call out.
So let's call forth your community,
Your tribe,
Your people that are meant to dance this lifetime with you in this moment.
Call forth the ability to understand and listen to each other.
Having that ability to listen to understand is so important.
It means we respond instead of react.
When you sit and listen,
You are holding space for someone.
You see them,
You hear them,
And you don't have judgment.
So let's call forth a listening ear into your heart space and exhale it out into the universe.
Silently affirm,
I am listening.
I'm listening.
Now let's call forth integrity.
Being genuine and authentic means that you are taking off the masks and leading with your heart.
It's doing the right thing when no one is looking.
It's about being true to you.
Call forth that integrity into your heart space and exhale out that same integrity to the universe.
Silently affirm,
I am authentic.
I am.
Now let's call forth reciprocity.
Making the effort in a friendship or relationship must go both ways.
A friendship is a state of enduring affection,
Esteem,
Intimacy,
And trust between two people.
There is so much more value in quality versus quantity when it comes to times met with friends.
Effort is needed.
So call forth that reciprocity into your heart space and exhale out that same reciprocity to the universe.
Silently affirm,
I am reciprocity.
I am reciprocity.
Now let's call forth love.
Love in a friendship is intentional.
It's a text message saying I believe in you when you're interviewing for a job.
It's a coffee date,
A long-distance phone call,
Or a card in the mail.
Love is laughter and love is tears.
Love is understanding and love is walking alongside someone without judgment.
Call forth that love into your heart space and exhale out that same love to the universe.
Silently affirm,
I am love.
I am love.
Call forth your community.
I am listening.
I am authenticity.
I am reciprocity.
And I am love.
I am listening.
I am authenticity.
I am reciprocity.
And I am love.
As your practice comes to a close,
Keep your eyes closed and start to give yourself some deeper breaths.
Feel what you need to feel in this moment.
Honor the space and thank yourself for showing up for you.
Namaste.
