I invite you to find a space that is quiet and comfortable.
And if you are able,
Perhaps even do this outside.
Either sit or lie down.
Gently close your eyes.
Allow your body to become still.
Take a moment to connect with your breathing.
Notice the sounds around you.
And now take a nice deep inhale.
A full complete exhale.
Let's do a mental body scan.
Starting from the top of the hairs on your head.
And slowly working all the way down.
Every part of your body to the tips of your toes.
Notice how everything is feeling.
And if you sense any tension in any place,
Focus there for a moment.
And breathe into that area with loving kindness and acceptance.
Allow everything to relax and become heavy.
Sinking into the surface beneath.
Take a few more long,
Deep inhalations.
And completely exhaling all the way out.
I invite you now to bring your awareness to the wonders of nature.
Mother Nature.
The beauty that is everywhere.
Let's take a few moments to focus on some of the marvels that nature provides.
The shapes,
Colors and smells of flowers.
The endless varieties of trees.
Clouds in the sky.
The many different types of water.
Lakes,
Oceans,
Rivers.
Now I'd like you to really visualize these words as you hear me say them.
Mountains covered with snow.
The colors in a sunrise and sunset.
Rain falling.
A nice breeze on a warm day.
Birds singing and flying about.
Deer romping in the woods.
The sound of the wind blowing in the treetops.
The way the sunlight glistens on water.
Sunlight shining on a forest floor.
Everywhere we look is a sight to delight in.
Beautiful Mother Nature.
When you feel ready,
Just slowly bring your awareness back to your breath.
And body and space around you.
Slowly wiggle your hands and feet.
Perhaps take an extra moment to stretch.
Gently flatter your eyelids open.
