I invite you to find a space that is quiet and free from distraction.
Either sit or lie down.
Gently close your eyes.
Try to become still,
Allowing your body to become heavy and one with the ground beneath it.
Let's take a few moments to connect with ourselves.
Take a moment to feel your breath.
To hear your breath.
Now let's do a mental body scan and start from the very top of your head and going all the way down to the tips of your toes.
Breathe in slowly and deeply and then hold for a brief moment and then exhale completely out.
Do this a few more times.
Inhaling new and fresh life-giving air to rejuvenate your lungs and body and exhaling out and away anything that doesn't serve or belong.
Now as you inhale,
Visualize love,
Light and purity and as you exhale,
Imagine gratitude filling up your whole body,
Every crevice,
Every cell.
Gratitude and thankfulness for yourself,
For your body and mind and gratitude and thankfulness for every person in your life and for everything that you have.
On your next inhalation,
Silently say,
I am and on your exhalation say,
Thankful.
Let's do this a few more times.
Inhale,
I am.
Exhale,
Thankful.
Inhale,
I am.
Exhale,
Thankful.
I am thankful.
There are countless things to be thankful for and it is beneficial to take a moment out of our day to be mindful and reflect on this gratitude.
The more grateful and thankful that we are,
The more we will have to be grateful and thankful for.
When you feel ready,
Slowly bring awareness back to your space.
Gently wiggle your feet and toes,
Hands and fingers,
Perhaps to a little stretch.
Open your eyes.
Thank you for doing this meditation with me.
God bless you.
