Day six of this seven-day habit series, Freedom From Stress! We’ll combine practices from the previous five days: relaxation, breathing, affirmations, and smiling. Putting it all together in this guided meditation, you can experience a very strong Stressbuster. If you feel like you would like more practice with any of the previous elements, feel free to revisit those meditations as many times as you need. But also know that you are ready to move forward and combine the skills.

Welcome to day six of freedom from stress.

I can't believe tomorrow is already our last day together.

Begin by closing your eyes and settling into your posture.

Take three deep breaths,

Breathing deep into the belly and exhaling with a sigh.

Good.

Now relax from your head to your toes.

As you relax,

I want you to really feel the relaxation spreading through the body,

Muscles releasing and relaxing.

As you continue to feel the relaxation,

Bring a smile to your face.

It can be a little smile or a big smile,

Whatever feels good for you.

Smile and relax.

If you get pulled into thoughts,

Just notice them as thoughts.

No big deal.

Just the brain doing what brains do.

Just notice the thoughts come and notice them go.

And as you're ready,

Return to the body,

Relaxing and smiling.

As you continue to relax and smile,

Repeat these phrases as they come to you.

I am happy.

I am healthy.

I am at peace with myself and with others.

I am calm.

I am relaxed.

I am resilient.

Good.

Now return to simply relaxing.

Feel free to continue to smile or let the smile go,

Whatever feels best for you.

It's okay to relax and let go.

This time is for you.

If there's anywhere in the body where you're intentionally tightening up,

Allow that area to relax.

Okay,

You can open your eyes.

Choose whichever technique we've worked with so far that you find most helpful whenever you feel stressed until our next session.

I'll see you tomorrow for day seven,

Our final day of freedom from stress.
