Welcome to your evening meditation.
Take a few moments to get comfortable,
Either sitting or lying down.
Just make sure you are in a position that is restful,
Relaxed and cosy.
When you're ready,
You can close down your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
Deeper than you've taken so far today.
And as you exhale,
Feel all of the air leave your body.
And again,
Take a deep breath in through the nose and sigh it out through your mouth,
Finding a natural stillness after your exhalation.
Once more,
Take a deep breath in.
Notice the stillness as you fill your body with breath.
And exhale,
Noticing the stillness.
Keep breathing in this way,
Finding that stillness at the top and the bottom of your breath,
Allowing it to bring you into the present moment and using it as you begin to still your energy,
Dropping into a deeper state of relaxation and rest.
In this moment,
Give yourself permission to let go of anything that has happened in your day.
Any expectations or thoughts before we started today.
Give yourself permission to truly rest as there is nothing you need to do right now and nowhere else you need to be.
Just focus on these deep expansive breaths,
Taking you further and further into the still,
The calm and the quiet.
Give your mind permission right now to wind down and to rest.
You are exactly where you need to be.
Continue to take slow,
Deep breaths and with each exhale,
Feel yourself letting go of stress,
Of tension or anxiety as you release any resistance and surrender into rest and relaxation.
Relax the space in between your eyebrows.
Remove the tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Unclench your jaw and open your palms.
Allow your shoulders to be heavy and your belly is completely relaxed.
Notice any other areas in your body where you might be holding tension and use your exhale to release this and truly let go.
Now allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm and flow as you welcome the deep nourishing rest of sleep.
We are going to set an intention of the kind of sleep you're going to have.
So bring your mind to focus on a deep,
Peaceful,
Restful and relaxing sleep.
Really allow that intention to settle in for you now and allow those feelings of peace,
Rest,
Relaxation and ease to drift into your awareness.
Rest here as you experience these feelings throughout your body and mind.
Your breath takes you deeper and deeper into your relaxation.
Your mind becomes quiet.
Your body becomes heavy and all resistance melts away as you drift into your peaceful,
Healing sleep.
Sleep dreams.
