Chak-chak-chak-chak-chak Hi everyone,
This is a fun short practice.
This is something you can include whenever you're feeling fatigued or you're feeling like a little low,
A little dull,
A little heavy.
So this is a somatic exercise,
Just meaning we're gonna move our body around to affect change in our brain and our mood.
This practice involves standing up and shaking out your body.
This practice includes standing up,
Loosening up and just shaking out your body.
It's great with music on too.
I'm not going to play any music here,
But if you want to put some active,
Upbeat,
Uplifting music on,
That is a bonus.
Otherwise,
We're just going to shake out,
Shake the limbs,
Shake the legs,
Shake the hips,
Loosen everything all the way up to the head,
A little jumping,
And really just one or two minutes of this makes a big difference.
But if you want to do it for the whole length,
Of your chosen song.
You can do that if you're using music.
So let's get started.
This is going to shift your state very quickly.
So you'll want to just find a wide stance and start shifting back and forth.
Shift your hips back and forth.
Let your arms get loose from the shoulder joints like a rag doll.
Bend the knees,
Bounce a little bit.
Let your wrists and your fingers get loose too.
They've probably been doing a lot of work.
And then any organic movement with your feet still planted on the ground.
Shaking out,
Maybe twisting,
Bending the torso.
Let your head get involved.
And then we just start shaking more.
Arms,
Shaking out arms by themselves,
Shaking out the legs by themselves.
Huffing,
Twisting.
Any movement.
Your cat or dog might join you in this.
Your kid might join you in this.
Feel free to smile.
Don't worry about how silly you're looking.
You can just shake the whole thing out.
Like a wet noodle.
Keep shaking.
You can even pick up one leg and just shake that leg.
Shake that arm out.
Anywhere you're feeling extra tension.
Let it go.
Roll down and shake.
Roll up and shake.
Just jump and lay.
That is it.
Once you finish,
You'll feel your heart rate has increased.
There's a lot of energy rushing through the body.
I want you to ground through your feet again and close your eyes.
Knees are still soft.
Everything's still soft.
There's no tension.
Closing our eyes to feel the difference in the body.
Feel how your chemistry has shifted.
With your feet still grounded down.
Letting breath come back to normal.
And then letting your eyes come open again.
So that is an energizing practice that will help you completely reset in just one to two minutes.
