Welcome to this meditation for a moment of calm.
Gently place one hand over your heart,
One hand over your belly.
Notice the warmth of your hands,
They connect with your body.
If you can,
Bring your awareness to the rise and fall of your breath.
Noticing as your hands move away from you as you inhale,
Gently towards you as you exhale.
Notice this movement of the hands,
The breath flows naturally in and out of your belly.
Very gently,
Breathe in for a count of four.
Hold your breath for a count of four.
Exhale for a count of four.
One more time,
Inhaling,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Face the counting of the breath.
Shift your awareness to the ground underneath you.
Feel yourself completely held and supported here.
Notice the stability.
Feel your feet connecting to the earth.
Breath anchors you here.
Every exhale releases anxiety.
Every inhale brings calm,
Connects you to that stability in the ground underneath you.
In this moment right now,
You are calm.
In this moment right now,
You are loved.
In this moment right now,
You are held.
In this moment right now,
You are supported.
In this moment right now,
You are safe.
Take a couple of moments to continue breathing here,
Allowing yourself to land into this present moment where all is well.
Close with one deep breath in through the nose.
Release the breath through your mouth.
Know that you can return to this quick practice any time you need grounding or support.
