Welcome to this 10-minute work break to find your breath.

Find a comfortable seat on a chair with both feet firmly on the ground.

Put your hands on your lap.

Tilt your head to the sides a few times.

To release any tension,

Maybe roll your shoulders.

Close your eyes.

Or keep a relaxed gaze at one point in front of you.

Notice how your breath feels right now.

Shallow,

Short,

Strained.

Take a deep breath.

The deepest you've taken today.

In through the nose and hold for a beat.

And then let it go with a sigh through your mouth.

Take another breath just like that.

And make your sigh a bit louder if you can.

Last one.

Breathe in.

Hold for a beat.

And then let it go.

Nice work.

When we sigh we tell our parasympathetic nervous system that it's okay to relax and let go.

There's a quick reset and refresh for the whole system when we do this.

Now come to a normal breathing.

In and out through your nose.

Make it feel easy as we start to focus on the inside.

Notice a golden sphere of light sitting at the top of your head.

About the size of a basketball.

It can be any color you like.

Bring this light into your body to give you a gentle release.

Let it fill your head.

Have it go down your neck and chest.

Arms,

Hands and fingers.

And continue to breathe in and out through your nose.

The light moves further down into your belly and hips.

Down through your legs,

Feet and toes.

And the light has now filled up your whole body.

And it surrounds you like a protective cocoon.

About a foot all around you.

Above you.

Under you.

And to your sides.

Feel life moving through your body.

Energy filling up.

This is a safe space and you can always create this wherever you are.

Just by going inside.

There is power in the moment between the inhale and the exhale.

At the top of the breath.

And at the bottom of the breath.

When everything stops and the present moment is all there is.

When you anchor yourself here.

You release yourself from the anxiety in the future.

And regrets in the past.

While we sit here together and breathe.

I will tell you about the four agreements by author Don Miguel Ruiz.

About self limiting beliefs that can come in handy in life.

And especially at your workplace.

So go ahead and focus on your breath.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Agreement number one.

Be impeccable with your word.

Use your words with care he says.

Know the words power and effect on yourself and those around you.

And use it in the utmost way and to your best ability.

This will create fruitful outcomes and move the world forward.

This is the most difficult one out of all the four agreements.

And the most important one.

Be impeccable with your word.

Continue to breathe and notice your breath.

Agreement number two.

Don't take anything personally.

Most humans live their lives with themselves as the main characters in their own movies.

Very rarely is what they do about you.

Actions by others might feel very personal and hurtful.

And this is hard.

But know that the less you take things personally the less others can hurt you.

If you take things personally it only makes you an easy prey for predators.

And they can hook you with one little opinion.

If you don't take things personally you resist their emotional garbage and you take your power back.

Don't take anything personally.

Continue to breathe and notice your breath.

Agreement number three.

Don't make assumptions.

We often think that we know what's going on.

What other people are thinking or why they're doing what they're doing.

An assumption very quickly becomes a truth in our minds.

We do this because we want to justify,

Explain and understand everything in order to feel safe.

And this leads to a lot of confusion and unnecessary pain.

The saying walk a mile in someone else's shoes explains that we know very little about what other people go through.

Their struggles may be deeper than we could ever imagine.

Don't make assumptions.

Continue to breathe and notice your breath.

Agreement number four.

Always do your best.

Live your full potential in this life.

When you do it's noticed and only good things will be put into motion.

When you do your best there are no regrets.

Always do your best.

Continue to breathe and notice your breath.

We'll sit here for a couple of minutes and let the agreements take root.

Take a long inhale and a long exhale.

And come back into the room.

Start moving your hands and feet.

Stretch your arms overhead.

When you're ready you can blink your eyes open and go back out into the outside world.

Thank you for sitting with me.

I'll be right here whenever you need to find your breath.

And remember,

One breath at a time and a daily practice will make things easier in life.

Namaste.
