Welcome,
Today's daily practice will be to explore finding a sense of open heartedness and connecting to the beauty that's all around.
So no matter how you're arriving here today,
Maybe you're feeling closed or unsure,
Tender,
Overwhelmed.
You can bring however you are to this practice and this time.
There's no expectation that you have to be a certain way,
So just arriving here with that in mind,
And I'll invite you to find a comfortable space.
You can be sitting up or lying down.
We're going to begin here by just placing a hand,
One hand on our chest,
On our heart space,
One on our belly,
And just seeing if you can notice the warmth of your hand on your body.
Deep breath in,
Just letting go.
Deep breath in,
Exhale,
Just letting go,
And see if you can imagine your body sinking down into the earth,
Like you're being held here,
Cocooned.
Perhaps you might even squeeze your arms into your body tightly for a moment,
And then releasing your arms all the way down,
Just to rest.
We're going to begin our breathing here,
From this place of groundedness,
Rooting.
Whatever is here and rising,
You can welcome it.
We're going to breathe through our mouth into our belly,
Then chest,
Then exhale.
So we'll breathe belly,
Chest,
Exhale.
So it's a two-part inhale,
One-part exhale.
We're opening up space for more life inside.
So take an easy breath in,
Easy breath out,
And we'll breathe in through the mouth,
Belly,
Chest,
Exhale,
Belly,
Chest,
Exhale,
Belly,
Chest,
Exhale,
Belly.
Three more,
Belly,
Chest,
Exhale,
Exhale.
Breathe all your air out.
Hold your breath at the bottom.
Breathing in through the nose,
Out through the nose,
In through the nose,
Out through the nose.
And as you continue this breath,
Can you notice your body starting to soften,
Starting to relax into this space that you're in?
And can you take a moment here to check in with your heart?
Is there something here on your heart that needs some attention?
What is it?
And as you breathe through your nose,
You might notice maybe there's sadness here.
Maybe there's anger.
Maybe there's longing.
Whatever sits on our heart is the key to the opening of it.
If we're willing to feel what's here,
Even if it hurts for a moment,
Our heart will respond by blossoming open.
Can you feel as you send your breath into your heart and meet what's here then?
Like a rose in the spring,
She opens.
And as she opens and love begins to flow again,
Can you imagine someone that you care deeply for?
See their face in front of you.
Look into their eyes.
Tell them that you see them and you love them so much.
I see you and I love you so much.
Perhaps that love and the beauty between you and this person starts to expand.
And you can feel the beauty that's all around you in this space and in this world that you've created for yourself.
Can you breathe in and let it in?
Can you breathe in and let it in?
It's really beautiful and all so incredibly precious.
May we remember that we are responsible for our heart's openness.
And we can support it to blossom in any and every moment with our own love.
Take this soft,
Gentle opening with you.
Bring it to all those that you meet today and every day.
