In this meditation we explore where we are being asked to let go in order to create more time to nourish ourselves and expand our love for ourselves. We begin with focusing on our breath and grouding into the Earth. Then I pose the question, what can I let go of as an act of self love? We follow this journey to explore where we continue to let go in order to feel more peace and more free.

This meditation is going to be about self-love and how creating time and space for ourselves is self-love.

And the question I'm going to pose to you is,

What can we let go of as an act of self-love?

So with that,

I invite you to close your eyes and either have your legs cross-legged,

Feet flat on the ground,

Rest your hands in a comfortable position,

And just begin to bring your awareness here into this moment,

Reminding yourself that everything else can wait and you can come back to it in a short while.

And feel the chair supporting you and begin to witness your breath.

And with your next in-breath,

We're going to inhale for the count of four.

So inhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

I'll allow you to do a couple more of these on your own.

Feel yourself relaxing more with each exhale.

And now I just want you to take a moment to do a quick assessment of your body.

Where are you holding tension?

Where do things feel tight?

See if you can relax a little bit more and just let go.

Now bring your awareness to the base of your tailbone.

This is our root chakra.

And imagine a great tree stump extending from the base of your tailbone and into the earth,

Solid and sturdy.

And see the tree stump descending into the earth,

Down deeper and deeper,

Past all the layers of the earth,

Deeper and deeper,

All the way down to the crystalline core of the earth.

See your tree stump landing on this crystalline core,

Saying hello to the Great Mother.

And now seeing your roots ground deep into the core of the earth.

Thank the Mother for keeping you grounded all day long.

And you can ask her if she has any medicine messages or wisdom for you today.

See if you can connect more with her energy.

Can you feel her heartbeat?

Thank her for her love and wisdom.

And on your next in-breath,

Feel her energy being pulled up through the roots of your tree,

Back up through all the layers of the earth,

Back up into your body.

And now take a moment to feel back into your body.

What does it feel like now?

And you can ask your body in general,

Or if there's a particular area of tightness,

Ask how you can let go or what you can let go of to create more ease and flow.

Now ask your body and spirit,

What activities,

Tasks,

Or friends can I let go of to let me feel more free and light?

If you let go of these things,

What would your body feel like?

How would you feel mentally and emotionally?

Would you feel more at peace?

What do you need to do in order to show yourself that you love yourself?

What do you need more of?

Now visualize and feel what it would feel and look like to live a life like this,

One where you loved yourself unconditionally,

One for you felt free and at peace.

Try and take it in with all of your senses.

Now with that in your mind,

What is your intention for today?

How are you going to choose to live?

Take your hand over your heart,

Have gratitude for yourself.

Tell yourself,

I love you.

Thank yourself for showing up right now and may you continue to be at peace and free.
