Thank you for joining me for this meditation.
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position with your feet flat on the floor or cross-legged,
Whatever supports you the most right now.
And I invite you to close your eyes and you can rest your palms facing up in your lap or on your thighs and begin to place all your awareness into this moment,
Letting all your worries drift away for just a few moments and feel whatever you're sitting on supporting you underneath you and behind you,
Allowing yourself to relax deeper and beginning to become aware of your breath,
Not trying to control it,
Just witnessing it and just take an inventory of your body.
Is there anywhere that feels like there's a lot of tension that you can just release a little bit more and begin to lengthen the breath with an inhale to the count of four and an exhale for a count of four and with each exhale,
Relaxing a little deeper,
Allowing yourself to let go a little bit more,
Knowing that this is a safe space for you to relax deeper into and on your next exhale,
Let go of the breath and allow it to resume its natural pattern and bring your awareness to your heart space.
See if you can tap into the energy here or maybe you can feel your heart beating and allow your breath to enter into the heart space and ask your heart what its deepest intention is for this meditation practice today and with each inhale,
I want you to feel like the front of your heart is opening and you're breathing directly through the heart,
Almost as if your nose was right in front of your heart,
Continuing to feel the energy of the heart while breathing here and then release the breath and return your awareness just to the heart space.
Now let's think about the light within us,
There's a light source within us,
Maybe you can get a sense of it,
Is it bright,
Is it dim,
Is it small or large,
Does it start in your heart,
If you're having trouble sensing it,
Imagine a golden white light that starts in your heart,
It shines brightly and with each in-breath,
See this golden white light growing larger,
Maybe it fills your entire chest cavity now,
It expands to include your entire torso,
Neck,
Your pelvis,
Your legs and arms and head,
This light grows so large it encompasses your entire body,
It's a brilliant luminous light,
See if you can allow the sense of your body to dissolve a little bit into this light,
Focusing on the qualities of this light,
It's loving nature,
The peace and wisdom,
This is our true nature,
The source of our being,
Continue to bathe in this light,
It heals us and guides us when we allow it to,
This light gives us vitality and well-being,
The light is who we truly are,
Slowly bring your awareness back to your body while holding the vision of the light,
The light continues to surround your body,
Allow the light to heal every cell,
Every tissue within your body and gently let go of the vision,
But remember that this brilliant light is your true nature,
Take a moment to set your intention for the rest of the day,
How do you want to go forward from this space,
How do you want to show up in the world,
