Intuitive, Solid Communication

We are so often, so badly, wanting to be understood and loved. It's equally as important to understand and love others first. We live in a world where we don't acknowledge ourselves for the fact that we are doing the best we can with what we know. But, we are doing the best we can with what we know. And, something that we can always get better at is communication.

Hey meditators! So for this practice we're going to be focusing on two core areas. One of which is communication and the other is following our intuition. And for this practice we're going to bring these two elements together so that we can communicate from an intuitive and loving place. So to begin, Find a comfortable position either seated or lying down. And make any adjustments that you may need in order to find a space that feels completely relaxing. And then allow your eyes to drop closed. Allow your body to become soft. And allow yourself to take some full breaths at your own time. Doing your best not to create a gap between your inhales and exhales or exhales and inhales. Keeping it one constantly flowing breath. And as you feel completely at ease, Just allow yourself to listen closely to what I say. Communication is something that takes practice. We cannot just expect to decide to communicate well. And from that day forward we will be the best communicators on the planet. Communication is done in the same way that a muscle is built. It takes constant practice every single day communicating with awareness. So take a moment right now to set an intention for this practice. Why is it important for you to be a good communicator and to communicate from your intuition? And just breathe in this intention. Breathe in your commitment to yourself as a really solid communicator. And know that communication can only be done really well if we do it with awareness. And if we do it with a commitment to understand the person that we're speaking to first and foremost. And secondly, Support the person we're speaking to to understand us. This is an extremely important piece of knowledge. We so often push our opinions and judgments and assumptions onto other people. And we so often assume that we know exactly how someone else is feeling or what their needs are and they haven't even directly told us. A lot of the time, Even if we do know what their needs and feelings are, It's so important that we hear it directly from them. So allow yourself to communicate from a heart-centered and understanding place. Allow yourself to let the people know that you're speaking to that you're doing your best to be good at communicating with them wholeheartedly and consciously. Allow yourself to make mistakes as a communicator. Allow yourself to admit to your mistakes. Allow yourself to grow from them. And then with the help of your awareness, Allow yourself to be even better at the next conversation that you approach. And let's bring this into action now. So think to a recent moment that you wish you communicated a little bit differently with somebody. Now, There definitely is one. There is for all of us. So if your immediate response is, Oh, No, I communicate perfectly all the time, That's probably not true because you wouldn't be listening to this practice if it was. And in fact, We can all improve on our communication always. So pinpoint a moment that you didn't communicate in the best way possible. Or maybe you have improved your skills since then. And make one commitment to yourself to take an opportunity to have another conversation with this person so that you do communicate in a way that you are proud of to the best of your ability. So for example, This could involve an apology or a new understanding or entering a conversation with a more open mind or greater awareness of your reactions. And make this strong commitment to yourself now. And know as you move forward that you are incredible just as you are, Just because you have improvements to make on your communication skills. Just because you feel that you want to communicate a little bit better from your heart. This means that you are an incredible and intentional person who is really trying to grow and find divine change within yourself. And together as we collectively improve our communication, We're going to be creating a better and better world. Just starting from the individual. So congratulations on creating the shift.
