Yoga Nidra is a practice to bring the body into a deep state of rest. When truly at rest the body's innate healing abilities can be activated. This guided Yoga Nidra is infused with healing energy. May it relax, rejuvenate and activate your own ability to heal from within.

Welcome,

Yoganidra allows the body to deeply restore itself,

Allowing it to release its innate healing potential.

It's important to be as comfortable as possible.

Sigle your body and allow it to relax into the surface beneath you,

Settling,

Allowing your mind to move inward.

Feel your whole being beginning to soften and relax.

Breathe in fully and as though the muscles are loosening their grip on the bones,

Exhale with a deep sigh.

Breathe in again and as you exhale,

Let go even more.

Feel the body becoming heavier and heavier.

Feel a sense of comfort,

Peace,

And ease begin to wash over you.

Begin to drop into a sense of your own bodily presence,

Thinking less and feeling more.

Surrender to the field of gravity pulling you down,

Not holding on anywhere in the body,

But completely letting go.

Being as still as possible,

Let go of the need to think,

To analyze or process thought.

Allow all effort to dissolve into the vast spaciousness of just being.

A shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being.

Bring your awareness now to your breath,

Feel it flowing in and out of your lungs.

Don't try to influence it or change it,

Just let it be natural,

No effort.

Allow it to flow in and out like waves flowing onto the shore and receding back into the ocean.

Bring your awareness to the belly as it rises and falls slightly with the breath.

Continue to watch each breath as the belly rises and falls.

Allow it to move how it wants,

Settle into the silent spaciousness of being.

Now begin to bring your awareness to the body.

As I name each part of the body,

Let your mind and attention move to that part.

As you let go of the tension in each area,

Feel a subtle warm energy infusing and rejuvenating that area,

And if you don't feel that,

Imagine it.

Bring awareness to the palm of the right hand,

Warm healing energy infusing the right palm and the five fingers.

Move awareness to the back of the right hand,

Right wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

Right shoulder,

Armpit,

The right side of the chest,

Waist,

Hip,

The right thigh,

Knee,

Calf,

Ankle,

And heel.

Bring awareness to the right foot,

The bottom of the right foot,

And the toes.

Notice the whole right side of the body.

Bring awareness to the palm of the left hand,

Warm healing energy infusing the left palm and the five fingers.

Move awareness to the back of the hand,

Wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

Left shoulder,

Armpit,

The left side of the chest,

Waist,

Hip,

The left thigh,

Knee,

Calf,

Ankle,

And heel.

Notice the left foot,

The bottom of the left foot,

And each of the toes,

The whole left side of the body.

Bring the awareness to the whole right leg,

To the whole left leg,

To both legs at the same time.

Notice the whole right arm,

The whole left arm,

Both arms at the same time.

Feel the entire body as a whole,

Relaxed and at ease,

Yet aware and awake.

Bring awareness to the back of the body.

Notice each of the points on the back body that are making contact with the surface beneath you.

Notice the back of the head,

Shoulders and upper back,

The elbows and the backs of the hands,

The glutes,

Backs of the legs,

And heels.

Bring attention to the head,

The top of the head,

Forehead,

Left eyebrow,

Right eyebrow,

The space between the eyebrows.

Become aware of the whole right eye,

The whole left eye,

The right ear,

The left ear.

Notice the tip of your nose,

Your lips,

And chin.

Bring attention to the throat and collarbones.

Bring your attention to your heart center,

Your belly and hips.

Now become aware of the whole front of the body.

Feel the whole back of the body.

Feel the whole front and back,

The entire body,

As a warm energetic whole.

Notice the subtle energies in the body that vitalize the tissues.

Focus your awareness on these vital energies.

Just noticing what you're feeling,

And if you're feeling nothing,

That's okay too.

Now imagine that you are standing on a magnificently colored pathway,

Different from any other that you have ever seen.

This pathway is made of a multitude of colored stones,

Reflecting the light in all directions.

As you begin to walk this path,

You feel a beautiful sense of expansion throughout your body,

An opening,

A spaciousness.

The air around you vibrates as you move.

The shimmering colors of the pathway penetrate your feet as you walk.

Everywhere there is light.

As you continue to walk,

You enter a magnificent courtyard.

At the center of the courtyard is a fountain.

The fountain is bubbling over,

Reflecting the many colors sparkling from the path.

This is a fountain of healing energy.

You walk toward the fountain,

Holding out your hands to gather the healing energy.

Feel the energy pouring into your being.

Feel it surround,

Fill,

And revitalize every cell in your body.

Feel it sending a warm,

Vibrating softness into the depths of your being.

Know that this energy is moving with deliberate intelligence to the places where pain and sorrow may be stored.

This intelligence is finding the places of weariness and discouragement.

Feel these spaces lighten and loosen.

Sense the glimmer of your own energy awakening,

The vitality of your being waking up.

There is a radiating strength,

A groundedness,

An energy of healing and balance infusing every cell of your body.

You are certain,

You know,

With your whole being,

That you are healing.

Feel your heart expand and open,

Relax and rest,

Enjoying this experience.

Now feel the following positive affirmation deep in your being.

I am radiant,

Healthy,

And full of life energy.

I am radiant,

Healthy,

And full of life energy.

I am radiant,

Healthy,

And full of life energy.

Slowly feel yourself beginning to rise to the surface of your awareness.

Now see yourself turning and beginning to walk away from the fountain.

As you walk away,

You know,

Deep within you,

That healing is happening.

Slowly feel yourself beginning to rise to the surface of awareness.

Once again notice the rise and fall of your breath,

No effort,

No control,

Just notice.

Slowly come back to the awareness of the physical body.

Begin to notice the sensations,

The support beneath you.

Notice the quality of the air on your skin and any sounds in the room around you.

When you feel the impulse,

Begin to move and stretch your body as if awakening from a restful sleep.

And if the impulse is to remain still,

Then do so.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes and take in the room around you.

Spending a moment here to feel gratitude for your body,

Gratitude for the health and the radiance that is within you.
