Hello,

My name is Jason Stevenson and welcome to this guided meditation that will help you to powerfully reset in mind,

Body and spirit before sleep.

Let's prepare ourselves to start tomorrow on an entirely new level,

Practicing acceptance of this present moment while also opening to the infinite potential of each new moment.

Let us empower the mind for the waking day to come.

To begin this sleep session,

I invite you to make sure that you are comfortable as you can be,

Using any cushions or blankets you require for support.

As is comfortable,

Elongate your spine,

Open your chest and heart space and then allow your entire body to soften into the surface beneath you.

Close your eyes if you haven't already done so and then take a moment to simply acknowledge what it feels like in your body to be here.

Note the simple sensations of your body as it rests upon the surface that supports you.

Note that you are held and supported by gravity,

Inviting your mind to arrive right here as well.

Often the mind takes us to the past or to the future through ruminations,

Worries and stories,

But for now,

Just for this moment,

Notice what it is like for the mind to be present.

What is it like for your mind to be attuned to the raw reality of what is right here now?

I invite you to turn your attention towards your breath,

Allowing it to further anchor you into this present moment.

As your breath comes and goes,

We are reminded that life is always in flow,

That the present moment is continually unfolding and being born anew.

Allow your belly to soften now,

Your jaw to relax and softening as well any other muscles where you may be unconsciously holding tension.

Continue to let the breath ground your attention for another few cycles.

Now,

Each night when we fall asleep,

We are granted an opportunity to rest,

Reset and recharge.

Though we are not conscious of our hours spent in slumber,

The body and mind move through a process of coming back into balance.

This process happens on its own,

Whether we are conscious of it or not,

And yet through the power of our intention and through visualization before sleep,

We can facilitate this process and deepen it,

Resetting our entire energy field.

We will begin this process tonight by reaffirming our intent to reset and then we will strengthen this vision by moving through an empowering visualization,

Cleansing ourselves of energy patterns and beliefs that do not serve us.

So,

I invite you to take a moment to come back to the breath,

Watching as it moves into and out of your heart and then deepen that breath to flow into and out of your belly.

On your next three out breaths,

I invite you to release a series of deep sighs,

Beginning to free up any tension you may be unnecessarily holding.

Let your breath come back to its natural rhythm after the third release and then take a moment once again to note what it feels like to be here,

Just to be present right now,

And sink into the silence that lives beneath all thoughts,

All limiting beliefs and all stories.

And within that quiet space,

I invite you to repeat these words.

I accept this moment with love.

I am open to the unfolding present moment.

Each new moment is an opportunity to begin again.

I am ready to rest,

Reset and realign.

To rest,

Reset and realign.

Spend just a few more moments in silence,

Reaffirming through your own words in any way that is meaningful to you,

Your intention to reset your mind,

Body,

Heart and energy field.

When we reset ourselves,

We are often required to give up things that are difficult to let go.

This might mean relinquishing certain beliefs about who you are and what you are capable of.

It might mean softening or letting go of past stories or hurts.

Or it might entail surrendering control and opening up with trust to the world and the universe at large.

Know that regardless of what you may be invited to surrender,

You are held and supported by the universe.

Trust that it is always here to guide you back into harmony,

Peace and balance.

Now,

Take just a few more grounding breaths,

Knowing that this moment is already enough as it is.

Even when we are working to release,

Reset and transform,

We can find a sense of wholeness and unconditional acceptance for each present moment.

I invite you now to tune in to your mind's eye.

Putting all stories,

All ideas and all beliefs aside,

We come to realize that this space before our closed eyes is indeed a blank canvas.

We can choose what images we wish to project onto it,

Using it as a tool to support us in healing,

Transforming,

Empowering or resetting.

For this practice of resetting,

I invite you to begin by imagining yourself in an environment where you might indeed find yourself tomorrow.

Now,

Being mindful not to become overtaken by stories about this setting or scenario,

I invite you to ground yourself here,

To witness yourself standing firmly on the earth or floor of this environment.

Your spine is straight,

Your chest is held open and your shoulders are relaxed.

You rest quietly,

Though confidently,

With an energy of openness as well as assuredness.

And take a few slow,

Deep breaths as you ground yourself confidently into this space.

And as you do,

Imagine a wave of joy,

Ease and lightness entering your body at the crown of your head.

This wave of new energy coming down to you from the universe above softens and resets your mind space,

Your mouth and jaw,

Your neck and shoulders and then moves all the way down your arms and into your fingertips.

It continues now by moving into your heart,

Bringing lightness,

Joy and ease of being to your chest space.

And then it trickles down your spine,

Easing and softening your entire abdomen,

Your belly and your lower back.

This cleansing wave of joy and lightness continues down your body towards resetting the energy centers in your hips and pelvis.

And then slowly it descends down your legs,

Relaxing your limbs in their entirety before landing softly in your toes.

This universal cleansing energy sinks into the earth,

But its pulse remains within you.

Each cell and each corner of your body is resetting in this very moment.

As you reset,

You come back to your innate sense of self-love,

Worthiness,

Courage,

Strength and resilience.

And so as you witness yourself moving forward through the environment you've found yourself in,

Allow these energies to guide you.

Notice what it looks and feels like to move through the day before you with strength,

Love,

Courage,

Compassion and any other qualities that nourish you.

You might witness yourself engaging in a conversation with someone you work or live with,

Or you might envision yourself completing a task or a project.

In any case,

Notice how it feels to engage in this part of your life,

Feeling completely at ease and aligned in mind,

Body,

Heart and spirit.

Each breath you take while witnessing this inspired reality and breathing into your experience with radiance,

Confidence,

Vitality and love helps to reset your entire energy field.

Open your heart to this feeling of positive,

Inspired transformation.

Now wherever you find yourself,

You take a moment to step away from whatever conversation or activity you are engaged in.

And before you now,

Somewhere in the room or space that holds you,

A large arched doorway appears.

Slowly you make your way towards it,

And as you push through the two door panels and through to the other side,

You find yourself in a natural landscape that inspires you.

Perhaps you find yourself on a beach,

In the forest or in the jungle.

The exact outdoor location does not matter so long as it brings you a sense of lightness,

Joy and ease.

The enchanted door shuts behind you,

Disappearing altogether,

And so it is just you in this magnificent outdoor landscape.

Take a moment to notice what this environment looks,

Smells and sounds like.

What does the earth feel like beneath your feet?

What scent fills the air?

What sounds trickle through your ears?

What colors,

Textures and forms of life appear around you?

You take a long deep breath in,

And then you begin walking through this beautiful landscape,

Feeling deeply attuned to the world around you.

The Sun is halfway high in the sky,

Beaming down on you from the West with its golden rays of light.

And yet,

Despite the clarity and vast openness that surrounds the Sun,

Rain clouds some distance away from this shining star begin to release their cleansing,

Nourishing droplets onto earth.

Sun showers,

As they are referred to,

When the Sun still shines while the clouds their blessings upon the land.

The rain falls upon you,

Evoking a childlike sense of wonder within.

You don't fear the rain,

You embrace it wholeheartedly,

Raising your hands to the sky with joy,

Laughing,

Dancing or spinning beneath the warm rain that falls.

You are open to this stage of the cleansing process,

Allowing the rain to wash away any residual tension,

Any residual limiting beliefs or any other energy patterns within you that no longer serve this reset period.

Spend a few moments envisioning yourself beneath the Sun's glow and the clouds rains,

Letting anything that does not serve this process of transformation be released into the earth for healing.

Soon the rain begins to ease up and then passes completely.

The rain clouds drift further away in the sky,

Leaving behind the nourished lands and the radiant clear sky above.

You stand firmly grounded in the earth now,

Finding silence and stillness as you revel in the magnificence of this moment and the radiance of your beating heart.

You take a long deep breath in and slowly release it back out.

Another long deep breath in and one last long full deep breath all the way in,

Releasing it slowly and then coming back to your natural breathing pattern.

You feel completely renewed,

Born into this moment,

Fully alive and awake to all the possibilities that rest before you.

But now with clothes soaked through and a mind and body ready to rest for the coming night,

You continue your journey through the beautiful landscape ahead of you.

The Sun is continuing its approach towards the horizon as you walk with grace,

Ease and lightness.

Not far from you now,

A small cabin comes into view.

It is nestled comfortably into the environment of your dreams,

Beckoning you to rest your head and let the coming sleep continue this process for you.

Slowly and mindfully,

You make your way towards the front door of the cabin and quietly let yourself in.

The cabin is warm and cozy,

Decorated in colors and textures that make you feel at home.

You take off your shoes and spend a few moments preparing for sleep,

Changing out of your rain-soaked clothes.

And when you are ready,

You climb into the plush and warm bed in the center of the cabin,

Letting your body sink into the soft mattress and your head into the fluffy pillow beneath you.

You are ready to surrender completely,

To hand yourself over to the transformative power of sleep with trust that it will continue this reset process as you slumber.

And so,

You close your eyes on this cabin,

Coming back to the felt sense of your body held by the surface beneath you.

Tuning into your breath as you drift off to sleep,

Noting its steady and reliable flow into and out of your body.

As you slowly nod off into a deep and restorative night slumber,

The following affirmations will continue to support you.

There is nothing you need to actively do here.

These words will work on the level of your subconscious,

Continuing to reset your entire energy field while inspiring a beautiful,

Awakened day ahead.

I am open to inspired transformation.

I love and accept myself unconditionally.

I am continually evolving.

There is nothing I cannot achieve.

I follow the guidance of my intuition.

I trust the universe to guide me.

I choose positive thoughts that empower me.

I am aligned in body,

Mind,

Heart and spirit.

I let go of what no longer serves me.

I am open to the infinite potential of each moment.

My mind is my ally.

I am centered and grounded.

I believe in myself and my infinite potential.

Each moment is an opportunity to begin again.

I live in the present moment.

I am awakening to my highest self.

I release limiting thoughts about the past and future.

I let go of the old and make room for the new.

I nourish myself through positive thoughts and inspired action.

I am whole,

Healthy and vibrantly alive.
