Welcome to a new day.
The past is nowhere to be seen.
This future is here,
Waiting,
But not waiting.
The sand at the beach below,
The tide line,
Has no footprints,
But those I make fresh and new,
My own path.
The waves curl softly in their fall to the sand,
Stretched flat before them,
Yet the sounds are rushing and loud.
Astonishingly,
Silence emerges and lives in the seconds between the waves,
Brief and magnificent.
Sinking into the sand that receives my weight,
My feet carry me across the beach.
Visit each part of your body with your awareness,
From your feet,
Up your legs and torso,
To your chest,
Arms,
Hands,
And head,
Awakening.
Revisit yourself to find emotions which need only a brief welcome.
Each one takes its shape and flies through the sky of your consciousness,
Like a shooting star,
Bright,
Its very birthing flare portending its coming demise.
Spirit is the great,
Unfathomable background for the busy solar systems of our lives,
Always there,
Always here,
If we can but move out of the way enough to notice.
May you move enough out of the way today to notice your spirit.
Your gift today is astonishment.
