You you Gong Gong GONG GONG Hello,
This is Jacob Watson with another guided visualization for relaxation that includes three periods for meditative reflection.
These waves of relaxation sound their rhythm on a state of main lake in the mountain foothills near my home.
The waves roll across the mile-wide lake,
Pure and healing energy not made by the hand of mankind,
But by the heart of nature.
As pure energy,
The waves come to splash softly on the small shore in a relaxing,
Calming pattern.
The rows of small curls march toward us,
Stately gifts of energy that bring the solace of connection and consciousness,
The sure knowledge that we are a vital part of the rhythm of creation itself.
The sound of the lake waves reaches out to us,
To include us,
To hold us,
And to support us,
A reminder that we are,
Now and always,
A part of the natural world.
It is as easy as breathing to join the encouraging energy of these small,
Smiling waves as they move,
With their splashing,
From one form,
The green lake water,
To another form,
The white,
Foaming bubbles on the sandy beach.
This pattern is the breathing of the lake,
Air coming up from its black depths to its blue surface.
The curls of wave energy breathe air into water and then water back into air in a complete natural cycle,
Thus gently mixing,
Blending,
And transforming everything.
The air of sky and the water of lake join.
They breathe together to encourage us into organic relaxation.
On the surface of the lake water,
Up close,
The waves are loud to themselves and to us.
They express the rhythmic power of water meeting Earth with its many variations and countless noisy distractions at the top of the lake.
Bubbles,
Wavelets,
Swoops and gullies,
Drops,
Splashes,
Even occasional little white caps,
The endless mesmerizing play of the surface.
Now,
We float a few feet above the water's surface and feel the gentle breeze that moves the waves into their patterned rows,
Here,
Where the sound is a little more quiet.
There is nothing here to mark the wind.
It flows freely across the water.
Here,
The wind is completely invisible.
We can feel it,
But not see it.
It is like our mother breathing comfort not only on us,
But as us.
We are encouraged to trust what comes to us,
Unbidden yet flowing to us,
Around us,
And on past us,
Caressing and nurturing all in its path.
A kind of kind silence joins the wind and the waves together,
An inclusive and sustaining silence that opens now and offers welcoming space for us,
For it is a gift given by nature's cycles.
It is a gift that welcomes our own breathing and encourages space for our being,
Space for our relaxation.
All we do is open and receive this free gift as we float above the waves into more relaxation.
Here,
The wind is completely visible.
It is like our mother breathing comfort not only on us,
Around us,
Caressing and nurturing all in its path.
Now,
We are a little higher,
With a bird's eye view,
Where we see and hear the larger patterns,
The wind that looks down on its precious creation of the waves.
It sees from on high the lake from shore to shore,
An emerald in the earth,
Now even more quiet from above.
The individual waves have dissolved into the flat lake surface,
Now appearing newly immobile,
Peaceful.
We ourselves dissolve into more quiet,
The waves' sounds are faint,
And small now and far away,
Leaving wide open more stillness and space for relaxation.
The gentle sounds of the waves,
Though faint,
Still accompany us,
Reminding us that we are included,
Still part of the whole,
Indeed the whole planet.
Now,
We float even higher into the white clouds,
More free,
More relaxed,
In more light,
And more relaxed.
The lake waves are there down below,
Now merged and absorbed into the lake herself.
The waves,
Tiny now,
Still move across the wide surface,
Ever holding us in their sweet embrace,
Nurturing,
Supporting,
And relaxing us.
From this distance the waves are small and gentle,
Calm and quiet reminders,
Each and all,
To surrender ourselves to their relaxing rhythm,
To melt into their arms of grace and relaxation.
And from this distance it is easy to imagine all the countless other lakes,
And ponds,
And puddles,
And streams,
And rivers,
And oceans of this our planet,
Stretching out around this green globe,
Each with their own unique but similar waves of relaxation,
All of them calling quietly to us,
Waves that call us home to the abiding eternal peace of relaxation.
Listening to lake waves far below,
We conclude as we began,
Coming full circle,
Now with the sound of the singing bowl ringing three times,
The sound coming and then going back into the eternal silence,
The eternal relaxation.
Breastplate.
