This is Jax,
Your habits coach and stress-releasing yoga teacher,
And today we're excited.
We woke up this morning,
So you might have woken up this morning feeling a little tired.
Maybe you're feeling a little bit of negativity or anxiety.
Something might be bothering you.
That is a-okay,
Because today we are going to do a 10-minute positive morning meditation to help you start your day with some excitement and motivation.
So wherever you're at,
Find a comfortable and quiet place where you can sit.
I recommend sitting instead of laying down so that we can wake you up.
Gently close down your eyes if that's comfortable for you,
And we're going to breathe together.
We're going to do straw breathing,
Where we're going to inhale through the nose for a count of three,
And then we'll exhale out through the mouth like we're blowing out a straw for a count of four.
So just go ahead,
Give me a little blow right now.
Go,
Kind of like you're blowing out a birthday candle.
Almost like we're celebrating the day,
And that's what I want you to do.
I want you to visualize you're blowing out a candle.
You're blowing out any stress or any tension that you're just not needing in this moment,
And let's start to breathe.
We'll do three rounds together.
Let's take a regular,
Easy,
Simple breath.
So give me a deep breath in,
And a deep breath out,
And then we'll begin.
Let's inhale for one,
Two,
Three.
Hold the breath,
And then exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Again,
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three.
Exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Last time,
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three.
Hold.
Exhale.
Relax your eyes.
Soften your jaw.
Soften all the muscles in the chin and the lips.
Soften your shoulders.
Relax your belly.
Unclench the gripping in your thighs and your knees,
And allow the toes to spread.
And then we'll take a moment to set your intention for the day.
So my question for you is,
What would make today a great day for you?
And for this great day,
What would it look like?
What would you be wearing?
Where would you be going?
Who would you talk to?
And how would your face look?
Take a moment here to visualize a successful and fulfilling day according to you.
What would make today a great day for you?
And then,
Because we know gratitude is the attitude,
I want you to think about just one thing you're grateful for.
This could be your health,
Your loved ones,
Or simply just the opportunity to experience a new day.
Take these next couple of breaths here in silence to express gratitude in your heart for whatever blessing comes up.
We're going to move on to five affirmations we're going to say.
And with these affirmations,
It's going to help us to really imagine your day going exactly as you want it to.
So you can either silently repeat internally or out loud these affirmations with me.
Today is a gift,
And I'm excited to unwrap it.
I radiate positive energy,
And it attracts the same in return.
I am capable and confident in everything I do.
I am open to new opportunities and ready to seize them.
Happiness and success are my choices,
And I choose them today.
And then just take a moment to just sit in those affirmations,
To feel those affirmations.
And as you move throughout the rest of your day,
Remember to just be kind to yourself.
Know that we all have imperfections,
And understand that it's okay to make mistakes.
You're on a journey of growth and learning,
And you decided to click on this meditation today,
So give yourself a little bit of love.
Before this meditation comes to a close,
We'll do the same breath work we did at the beginning.
So if you feel like you're holding on to any stress,
Any tension,
Any negativity,
Use this breath to blow it all away and embrace your day.
We'll take a regular breath to begin,
So take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
And then we'll begin.
Inhale for 1,
2,
3,
Hold.
Exhale 4,
3,
2,
1.
Slowly start to bring your awareness back to the room.
Start to listen for any sounds in the room,
Start to feel sensations in your body.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and carry the positivity and excitement you've cultivated with you throughout your day,
And know that you are ready to seize this day with joy and enthusiasm.
