A rooted life doesn’t ignore doubt, it meets it with steadiness. In this session, Jacks invites you to reconnect with the part of you that doesn’t shrink for approval. Through breath and embodied presence, you’ll practice standing tall but relaxed. Clear, calm, and unapologetically you. This is a practice of self-belonging and grounded confidence. You’ll leave with an intention to guide your day: Today, I’ll stand in who I am without shrinking.

Welcome to Day 30 of Insight Timer's Intention Setting Challenge.

Setting an intention is making a decision about who you want to be and how you choose to show up.

Over time,

Those choices become change.

Let's begin.

Hello,

And welcome to Day 30 of Insight Timer's Intention Setting Challenge.

I'm Jax,

And in today's session,

We're going to explore what it means to feel rooted.

Life can definitely make us question ourselves.

We can find ourselves comparing.

We can find ourselves overthinking.

We can find ourselves feeling small just to make other people feel comfortable.

These are ways where we are feeling our suffering and letting it really take the driver's seat.

However,

There is this part of you that's in every single person,

This grounded part,

This unwavering part of you that doesn't need to earn space,

Overthink,

Or question your worth.

To really embody this belief,

Our intention for day,

For day number 30,

For day number 30,

Our intention is,

Today I'll stand in who I am without shrinking.

To help us embody this intention,

You know we're doing a meditation.

Let's begin by getting comfortable.

You can sit,

You can stand,

You can lie down.

I want you to do something in a way that feels honest for your body right now.

And to help us just comfortably get into this meditation zone,

Let's do three rounds of the psychological sigh,

And this breath work is here to just help you feel a little bit more zen.

Let's begin.

Take two deep breaths in through the nose.

Open mouth,

Exhale slow.

Two more.

Soften your jaw,

Soften your eyes,

And if it feels okay,

Just gently close your eyes or have a soft gaze.

And again,

Just breathe in,

Take these really deep breaths,

And exhale,

Just let it all go.

Begin to notice where your body's making contact.

What are your feet touching?

Where are your knees?

What are the shoulders doing?

Are they tense?

Are they soft?

Start to notice your body.

Now bring to mind a situation.

So something recent or ongoing where you felt the urge to hold back or make yourself smaller so things just felt easier.

Don't overthink it.

And I want you to start to notice what shows up in your body.

Where do you feel that pull to shrink,

The chest,

The throat,

The belly?

And place your attention there and breathe into it.

And whatever that situation is,

Imagine yourself standing in that situation.

However,

This time you're grounded.

Your breath is calm.

Your spine is tall but relaxed.

You're not pushing.

You're not proving.

You're simply there,

Holding your ground without force,

Standing in who you are without an apology.

And as you breathe here,

A reminder,

You don't need to disappear to belong.

You don't need permission to take up space.

Let's take a moment to come back to that intention.

Repeat with me,

Today I'll stand in who I am without shrinking.

And move out of the head into the body and let the words land in your body.

Today,

I'll stand in who I am without shrinking.

One more deep breath here and give me a slow breath out.

When you're ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to the room.

Feel the floor beneath you.

Feel your body here.

Remember,

Today I'll stand in who I am without shrinking.

And on the next few screens,

You're going to be invited to set this intention or your own version of it on your insight timer home screen.

The simple act of seeing your intention reflected back throughout the day is enough to create this change.

You always have a moment to breathe,

Come back to that intention,

See it reflected back Stay present,

Stay focused.

Once again,

This is Jax.

Thanks so much for spending time with us today.

And good luck with the rest of the challenge.

One more day to go.

You got this.
