This is a very simple, yet very meaningful meditation, where we will mainly do two things; breathe together and set our year intention, in order to get closer to our life purpose. The beginning of the year is the perfect time for this practice, although you can set a year's intention at any moment.

Hello,

My name is Jacinta and today we're gonna do a very simple meditation.

We're gonna focus on two things,

Our breath and setting an intention.

An intention is not to be confused with a goal.

A goal is something we want to achieve.

An intention is something that brings us closer to our life purpose and I will repeat that.

An intention is something that brings us closer to our life purpose.

And because we're starting the new year,

I want to go big and bold and we're doing this together.

Today we're gonna set our year intention.

And before your mind starts going all around thinking,

Whoa what?

I don't know what my life purpose is or I don't know what my year intention has to be.

Hold on,

We're gonna breathe and we'll get there together.

Just trust that the answers will reveal themselves.

So whenever you're ready,

Close your eyes,

Make sure you're in a comfortable position,

Either sitting down in the floor,

Sitting down in a chair,

Making sure that your legs are uncrossed or laying down.

Make sure your back is in a straight line with your neck.

Relax your shoulders and soften any part in your body that needs to be softened.

Start breathing through your nose,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Connecting to your breath,

Connecting to yourself,

Connecting to the present moment.

We're gonna take three breaths.

I'll explain them and then we'll do them together.

When we inhale,

We do it as intense as we can through the nose.

We hold for a few seconds at the top hold for a few seconds at the top and then we exhale as slowly as we can through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose,

Hold,

Exhale slowly through the mouth,

Inhale through the nose,

Hold,

Exhale slowly.

One last one,

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale.

Come back to your natural breath,

Inhaling and exhaling through the nose.

Feel the breath coming in through your nose,

Coming out through your nose.

Feel your body expanding when the air comes in.

Feel your body contracting when the air comes out.

Feel the ground underneath you and just let the earth hold you.

Let the universe support you.

I'm gonna invite you to put your left hand on top of your heart and your right hand on top of your left hand.

Feel your heartbeat connect to your heart.

Keep breathing,

Keep feeling that heartbeat.

And from this place of love,

From this place of peace,

We're gonna set our year intention.

Remember something that brings you closer to your life purpose.

If you feel like you don't know your life purpose yet,

It's okay.

It is okay.

It is okay.

Whatever comes to your heart as your year intention is gonna be the right answer.

I'm gonna give you a few seconds to bring that intention to your heart.

And after we set our intention,

It is important to learn to release it as well.

Let it go for now.

Just trust.

Keep breathing,

Inhaling and exhaling through our nose.

You can bring your hands down if you wish so.

Keep breathing.

Remember if other thoughts come to your mind,

It's okay.

Everything is okay.

Accept them,

Observe them,

And release them.

Come back to your breath.

And we begin to come back to our bodies.

Keeping your eyes closed,

Aware of the different sensations in your body,

Aware of the ground underneath you,

Of the noises around you,

The music,

My voice,

Your own breath.

Intention comes from the word in Latin,

Intentio,

Which relates to the verb intentar,

Which is to try.

No matter how big your intention looks right now,

Everything begins by trying.

So keep your intention close to your heart and become your intention.

May you find light.

May you be light.

May you share light.
