Welcome to this meditation on change.
Let's begin by connecting with our breath,
Our natural breath.
As you breathe in,
Become aware of your body and when you breathe out,
Release whatever tension your body may be holding.
Breathing in,
I'm aware of my body.
Breathing out,
I release the tension in my body.
Simply be aware that you are breathing.
Notice how this simple recognition of your breath allows you to become entirely present.

In many traditions,
The breath is seen as a bridge between the body and the mind.
By observing your breath,
You take hold of your mind,
A mind that is often scattered.
Whenever you notice that your mind has strayed away from your breath,
Take a moment to acknowledge where you are and gently guide your attention back to your breath without judgment and with lots of kindness.
Breathing in,
Release whatever tension your body may be holding.
Breathing out,
Release whatever tension your body may be holding.
I'd like you to move your attention away from your breath and place it on the word change.
How does change feel in your body?
Release whatever feelings and sensations may be arising as you sit with the word change.
How does change feel to you?
What does it look like?
Does change have a color?
Does it have a form?
Does it have a taste or a smell?
What does change feel like?
Change is one of the most important things.
Change is one of the few guarantees in life.
We may struggle with accepting change,
But change is what is.
Without change,
We would not be here in this moment.
In this moment,
Can you be open to change?
Can you be open to change?

All that you touch,
You change.
And all that you change,
Changes you.
In this moment,
There is change happening within you and around you.
Can you observe,
Acknowledge,
And accept these changes?
When you can awaken your ability to feel anything,
It will change how you feel everything.
Be here in your body and continue to feel,
Continue to sense whatever is here.
