Notice what happens when you turn your gaze inward and you focus all your attention on your breath.
How does it feel to breathe in and know that you're breathing in?
How does it feel to breathe out and know that you're breathing out?
This life force is moving in and out of you.
This life force has brought you here to this moment.
Whether you're sitting or standing or lying down,
This is an invitation to freedom.
Very often when we think about freedom,
We think about freedom of movement,
Freedom of choice,
Freedom of thought,
Freedom of expression.
But what about having the ability to free ourselves from limiting beliefs,
From self-doubt,
From emotional burdens that may hinder our personal growth?
What about the freedom from clinging to material possessions?
The freedom from clinging to anything?
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly breathe out.
Let's do that again.
Deep breath in and exhale.
One last time together.
Inhale deeply and with control breathe out in this space where you set aside everything that you think you are.
You set aside everything you've accomplished,
Your different titles,
The different ways you may identify,
Everything having to do with status.
You set aside whatever failures,
Whatever challenges.
The you that's left when you set all of this aside is completely free.
You are free.
We are free.
But perhaps we don't feel that way on a day-to-day basis because we're stuck in our head.
We're stuck thinking thoughts about ourselves and thoughts about the world.
But in this moment,
What are you experiencing?
What are you sensing?
What happens when there is distance between you and your mind?
Your mind is not the enemy here.
But it can be bound to concepts,
To forms,
To the material world.
But you are not the mind.
I invite you to repeat the following affirmation.
I am free.
I am free.
Notice whatever feelings or sensations may be arising within you.
Continue to come back to this place.
Continue to come back to you.
The you that is liberated.
Until next time,
Take care.
