Rather than offering quick fixes, Making Room for Peace supports a sustainable approach to peacebuilding; one that honours your humanity, acknowledges the realities of our world, and empowers you to participate in healing through everyday choices. This course is for anyone longing to live with greater clarity, compassion and responsibility during these uncertain times.


Meet your Teacher

Fimo Mitchell is a meditation teacher, sound healer and the founder and executive director of When The Village Meditates, a nonprofit dedicated to cultivating healing and collective well-being within Black and marginalized communities. With almost 15 years of experience guiding meditation, sound baths, and contemplative dialogue spaces, Fimo has facilitated thousands of sessions both in person and online, including retreats, weekly gatherings, and long-form meditation courses. His work is rooted in mindfulness, trauma-informed practice, and a deep commitment to justice, compassion, and community care. Drawing from contemplative traditions, lived experience, and years of working with diverse communities, Fimo offers practices that emphasize presence, emotional safety, and collective responsibility. His teachings invite people to slow down, listen deeply, and engage peace as a lived, embodied practice rather than an abstract ideal.
