Peace and blessings and space and movement.
My name is Jonathan Stahls with Intrinsic Paths.
This is going to be a slow,
Guided,
Spacious movement meditation.
I'm recording this meditation in the rolling lands of the Arkansas River Valley,
Home of the Ute.
This invitation is open and inclusive to those moving on wheelchair in powered stroller,
Walking,
Or rolling.
You will hear the sounds of the breeze swirling,
The wind moving through trees and branches,
The occasional airplane,
And sounds of the public realm.
I invite you to welcome and honor the unique sounds in your surroundings.
If you are not already outside,
Ready to move slowly,
I invite you to pause this meditation and make yourself there.
This invitation is also open to being inside,
Moving inside,
Even resting and imagining yourself moving,
Flowing,
Imagining your blood and your veins moving and flowing.
So we invite the spirit and the essence of movement.
So I invite you to move under a tree nearby or maybe near a rock,
Placing your hand on the tree,
On the rock,
Or maybe on your heart.
Then let's take a couple deep,
Soulful,
Slow,
Self-honoring,
Self-compassionate breaths.
Deeply in,
And slowly out.
Breathing in self-compassion and space deeply in,
And slowly out.
We invite the wisdom of wind and sky and stream and tree deeply in,
Slowly out.
Let's do one more deep breath together,
Inviting courage,
Edges,
Spaces between what is right,
What is wrong,
Deeply in,
Slowly,
Soulfully out.
So I invite you,
If you're not already,
To slowly begin moving,
Again honoring the wind and the breeze.
As you move,
Be extra intentional to notice the way the ground interacts with your feet or with the weight of your body.
Be mindful of where the breeze and the wind hit your skin.
Be mindful and find gratitude in the way the sun hits your skin.
Welcome and invite the birds,
The critters and animals that you can't see that share the very spaces you move through.
That we invite the sounds of our surroundings to be the music,
The invitation,
The language,
The wisdom.
We move and we breathe,
We move and we breathe.
We open and we honor,
We open and we honor.
So in your movement,
In your breathing,
In your being,
I invite you to slowly release and shed and let go of thoughts,
Of emotions,
Of anything that resembles heaviness,
Weight,
Even suffering,
Pain,
Blockage,
Self-doubt.
That in our movement,
We release,
We shed,
We let go.
And in our in-breath as we move,
We acknowledge that there is weight and there is stress and there are blocks and there might be pain,
There might be unknowns,
Questions,
Doubts.
And then in our out-breath,
We slowly release them,
We let go of them,
We shed them.
And we're not trying to fix anything,
Solve anything,
Control anything.
And we move and we release,
We move and we shed,
We move and let go.
That in this letting go and in this shedding,
We invite the trees and the sky and the birds and the breeze to carry,
To help us carry the weight,
The stress,
The blocks,
The pain,
The doubt,
The unknowns.
And then as we release,
As we shed,
We invite more room for what is beautiful,
For what is alive in us and around us,
What is colorful,
What we have overcome.
As we release and as we shed,
We make more room to be with what we are grateful for,
What we look forward to,
What we dream of.
So as you move and as you breathe,
I invite you to speak to yourself but also perhaps out loud,
Softly,
The things you are grateful for in your steps,
In your movement.
I am grateful for,
I see beauty in,
I dream of,
I dream of,
I am grateful for,
I see beauty in,
I dream of.
So I invite you to continue your movement with tenderness as you shed and release and with openness and spaciousness as you name and honor what you are grateful for and what you dream of with courage,
With self-compassion,
With aliveness.
And so I invite you to continue your movement at your own pace.
Perhaps repeat this meditation to move through the steps and the invitations and be open,
So open to the organic invitations of the world around you and the galaxy within you.
So if you are able,
I invite you to pause as we close this guided portion and with the trees and the sky and the birds and the branches and the soil,
Let's breathe deeply in,
Opening our hearts and our minds and our consciousness,
Deeply in and slowly out to be more open,
Spacious and conscious in our relationships and our doings and our being,
Deeply in gratitude and beauty and dreams,
Slowly out gratitude,
Beauty and dreams.
Peace and courage and tenderness.
Peace.
