If you want to feel better now, you can start by letting go. In this mini practice, you'll find out what it feels like to truly let go. You'll visualize you're standing at the edge of a wooden deck over a serene lake. As you prepare to jump with complete abandon, you allow yourself to release all fear. In one jump you'll let go of all fear, allowing youself to feel refreshed, relieved, renewed... fearless.

If you want to feel better now,

You can start by letting go.

In this mini practice,

We're going to visualize letting go.

So let's begin.

See if you can relax your body,

And take a deep breath in,

Inhale,

And exhale.

Now imagine you're standing at the end of a wooden deck,

A few feet over a serene lake.

You know it's safe because you've jumped off this deck before,

And landed safely in the water.

And this time,

You're preparing yourself to jump with abandon.

And when you jump,

You're going to release all fear.

Sometimes in life we overthink things.

Sometimes fear takes us over.

And sometimes fear is holding us back,

Even when we don't know why or where it's coming from.

But not now.

In one jump,

You'll drop all fear,

Even your subconscious fears.

With one jump,

You're letting go of all fear,

Including the dull ache inside you that tells you you need to figure everything out all by yourself.

The fear of not measuring up to someone else's standard.

The fear of failing,

Even if you do put all you've got into what you want.

It's time to let go of all fear in one jump.

Are you ready?

Three,

Two,

One,

Jump.

You glide safely underwater,

Feeling refreshed and relieved and renewed.

This is what letting go feels like.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Imagine now you're floating gently on an inflatable raft.

The sun is warm on your skin,

And you're ready to show up in the world a little differently.
