If you're listening to this audio,
You could be one of the people on the front line every day taking care of others.
You're responsible for the health,
Safety,
And sometimes the very survival of other human beings.
It is possible that now,
As you're taking a break,
Feelings are surfacing that you've kept at bay throughout the whole day.
You may be experiencing great physical and mental fatigue,
Frustration,
Fear,
Worry that you haven't said or done the right thing,
Guilt,
A feeling of inadequacy,
And a great sense of helplessness.
Right now,
You have to work,
Maybe without the tools you need,
Maybe without the necessary safety measures,
With the fear for your safety and that of your loved ones.
You're dealing with something unknown,
Overwhelming,
Unmanageable that you've probably never had to face before.
While in your head you see frames of the day,
You're seized with the doubt of having overlooked some detail,
And for a moment,
Your breathing could freeze.
You just want silence,
Your mind empty of all thoughts and images.
I'm asking you to take a moment,
To take a breath,
And take note of one sure thing.
At this moment,
You can do no more.
You can't carry the responsibility for everything that would be needed on your own shoulders.
You can do your part.
You can do it at the best of your ability.
You can do it with all the courage you're capable of.
But that's all you can do.
There are some things that no matter how great your effort,
You cannot change.
There are people that no matter how hard you try,
You cannot save.
It's painful,
It's unfair,
And it's heartbreaking.
But that's the way it is.
Your responsibility is only to do your best,
Not to do the impossible.
Although we can't tell you this personally,
We are immensely grateful,
Deeply indebted to you,
And full of admiration and respect for the commitment,
Dedication,
And enormous courage that you are showing on a daily basis.
The mere fact that you go to work,
Day after day,
Is in itself a heroic gesture.
You're already doing the impossible.
We can't ask you to do more than this.
So take a deep breath,
And loosen your grip.
Let go.
Surrender to what you cannot control.
Surrender to the fact that whether you want to or not,
Things are going to be the way they need to be.
You can't reassure everyone.
You can't disinfect everything.
You can't protect everyone.
You can do your part to the best of your ability.
Nothing less,
But nothing more.
You can't visit everyone.
You can't cure everyone.
You can't save everyone.
It's the brutal reality of things.
Accept the fact that there are powers greater than you,
Things beyond your reach that you have no way of seeing or controlling.
Let this sense of powerlessness also be liberating.
You can let go of all those things that don't depend on you,
And on which you can't intervene.
What is up to you,
You're already doing with sacrifice and responsibility.
Everything else,
You can let go of.
If you are a religious person,
Let his will be done.
If you're not,
Let what needs to happen,
Happen.
It's not all in your hands.
Don't let it be a burden on your shoulders,
On your mind,
On your conscience,
On your life.
You're doing your best,
And that's what matters.
Don't let it crush you.
We need you,
Now more than ever,
To the best of your ability.
Let it go.
There are things bigger than you,
That you cannot control.
Surrender.
Breathe and let go.
You can do it.
You're already doing it.
Just rest.
Let the day go.
Right now,
There's nothing you have to do.
Stay here.
Now,
And breathe.
Let go of everything you could have done differently.
Let go.
If you've done your best,
Then you've done enough.
Breathe.
One by one,
Relax your body muscles,
Starting with your head.
Relax your jaw.
Relax your neck.
Relax your shoulders.
Relax your arms.
Relax your hands.
Relax your chest.
Relax your stomach.
Relax your belly.
Relax your genitals.
Relax your buttocks.
Relax your thighs.
Relax your calves.
Relax your feet.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
Let go.
